Hello,

Just curious what fellow dog owners are using when it comes to 2nd row seat hammocks for keeping our furry friends safe and the seats clean. I have a generic Kurgo hammock for my ’22 Tacoma, but the quality and fit are only so so. Just doesn‘t feel like it would last long, so I’m looking for other options for my new 4Runner ORP arriving soon.

Alternately, if I decided to keep my dog in the rear cargo area instead, are there any decent protection options that also let me attach some kind of seat belt attachment to his harness so he’s tethered and doesn‘t try and jump into the 2nd row? Ideally something fairly durable and easily removable that I could also use to protect the rear and contain any dirt when hauling camping supplies, wood, bIke parts, etc in the back with either the 2 row seat folded up or in place? This is my first time having a truck with the rear area enclosed, so not sure what they make for this sort of thing. Thanks!

My wife got me this inexpensive second row seat cover that works fine.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DGKDWQV5?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title

Note that 6Gen 4runner ORP does not have hooks or handle at top of second row window so no way to hold up the side door protectors.
The cover has already saved me a bunch of dog hair removal challenges

Thanks. None of my former hammocks has the side panel option so I’m ok with those not working. Is the hard floor part wood or something, or does it have some give to it still?

Check out the video on the amazon site. There are stiff plastic inserts that go into pockets sewn and zippered into the cloth. So yes - wood or something.

I just did 4k from St.Simons island to Pensacola to Denver and back. I have had the orvis padded hammock seat cover setup . Love it and the AC vent blows through the mesh making pup happy.

I like the way they have that vent for the AC to go through, never seen that before. Nice.

Very easy to wash completely waterproof doesn’t hold stains. I have had this one for about five years. Orvis makes quality product.

FWIW I ended up getting the Orvis one and I’m completely happy with it. Holding up very well to some decent abuse, and my dog loved the front vent material when the AC is needed.

That Orvis looks great. Any great options for protecting the rear door panels from tiny feets and claws? Our two little like to jump up and look out the window.
