Hi, has anyone had any luck disabling PKSB AND its warning message which shows up every time you start the car?
- Just disabling it is not sufficient because it causes an annoying warning message to appear in the center of the screen, which you have to clear
- Leaving it on is not an option as it basically makes the car unparkable, it literally triggers 7 inches away from the wall (an eternity in my driving conditions)
Thoughts I had:
- unplugging the parking sonar
- pulling the fuse
- covering the sonar up with tape
Not sure if any of these solutions will trigger further warnings. I talked to the dealer service and he said "all new toyotas have this" and that it could not be permanently disabled without the warning message which to me seems insanely dumb
It literally triggers when I am this far away from the wall. 1-2 inches I can understand but this is a good 7 inches
