Hi, has anyone had any luck disabling PKSB AND its warning message which shows up every time you start the car?

- Just disabling it is not sufficient because it causes an annoying warning message to appear in the center of the screen, which you have to clear
- Leaving it on is not an option as it basically makes the car unparkable, it literally triggers 7 inches away from the wall (an eternity in my driving conditions)

Thoughts I had:
- unplugging the parking sonar
- pulling the fuse
- covering the sonar up with tape

Not sure if any of these solutions will trigger further warnings. I talked to the dealer service and he said "all new toyotas have this" and that it could not be permanently disabled without the warning message which to me seems insanely dumb

It literally triggers when I am this far away from the wall. 1-2 inches I can understand but this is a good 7 inches

No luck, been trying to find a way for months so I can keep my bike rack on the back without at beeps or warnings every time I start the vehicle.

The warning goes away with a simple press of the back button. Everything on the new Toyotas goes away with a back button push; CC, CarPlay GPS turn-by-turn, etc.

It is annoying as hell but I have gotten used to it. I guess it's the nature of the beast with new tech cars. Darwin alarms need to be abolished and let natural selection thin out the herds.

What/where is the "back button". 2025 4Runner. I'm tired of this vehicle saving me.

For increased annoyance, some of the popups come right back after a few seconds

Yeah, they are very random. My parking assist and parking brake only come on once when I start the engine. CC always comes on when I start it and I turned off lane assist cause that one was driving me absolutely MAD! It wasn't that good since if you have a soft grip on the steering wheel it says you need to hold on to the steering wheel. I don't death grip the steering wheel so stop telling me to!

BTW, my "Are you towing?" alerts seem to be gone with either park assist or back up brake turned off. That one also drove me nuts since I have a hitch swing out spare tire holder. That one was also a random one and not just at start-up.
