Here's how it's looking now with the Aspen V2 rooftop tent installed:

I'm using the Short 1/2" rooftop tent mounting brackets from Sherpa to attach the tent to the crossbars, and they work great!

The tent install is about as low-profile and snug as you can realistically make it. There's a 1¼" gap between the Sherpa rack and the bottom of the Aspen tent housing.

Clearance (for a TRD ORP with stock suspension, wheels, and tires, at rated inflation) is 6' 9"

This looks great, thanks for sharing. What other RTT's did you consider and rule out?

I'm considering Sherpa, GFC RTT, and 23Zero Pro 5 Arm awning, but still rationalizing costs.

I liked the GFC RTT s lot too, but went for this one based on features and price. Got it for just over $2,200 on sale with promotions back in late February.

Thanks. The Aspen looks to be slightly taller but also shorter in width and length so I’ll take a closer look at it. Might fit the 4Runner better than the GFC.
