Sherpa is top notch. I've run 2 of their racks on different vehicles, and they were great. I love working with them!

I'm definitely leaning towards the Sherpa, it's a great looking rack and I've heard nothing but great things about it! They also give a great First responder discount.
what percentage discount are they offering? I was going to buy mine directly from the installer but if they're giving a discount I may buy from them directly.

posted this in another thread but wanted to have visibility here for others too:

went with the capitol from sherpa, since i’ve never installed a rack (let alone one from sherpa) can someone who has installed the capitol take some photos of what the rubber stoppers and the bolts look like on theirs? wanting to see how much, if any, the rubber block should be squished down from tightening the bolts (same for the bonded washers) wanting to make sure they were not over tightened but also not under tightened and having a visual reference from others who have finished theirs would be helpful! thank you!

@vready, thanks for the pictures of the Sherpa Capitol Roof Rack. The profile is perfect and I'm leaning towards this as the rack of choice.

I also like the small footprint of the light bar that you have installed. It compliments the rack nicely.

when you get a chance, can you provide a link for the roof light bar. Thanks.

BTW @ToYoDaMan, there is also a protective cover from RIGID which works on this LED light. Does a great job of protecting it from rocks and bugs when not in use, and helps it blend in a bit more, too.

@vready , where the link for the rigid cover. Think the link on this post is for the roof rack channel weather stripping . Thanks. Your setup looks great!

I'll try to measure mine tomorrow, but my guess is about 1 inch.
I finally got around to measuring the min gap. I appears to be 1.15 inch and it occurs beneath the second from last aft-located cross bar. This cross bar is located a few inches aft of the forward upper corner of the rear quarter window on my car.

@vready Thank you for this post as I'm now going down the rabbit hole of replacing my ARB rack on my TH now realizing how unsupported this thing is. Currently battling the Westcott, Prinsu, and Sherpa decision. Thinking Westcott might be out due to some issues pointed out by others on this forum like @T_Pomp. I don't like their crossbars not having an opening to work in the T bolts without undoing the cross first.

The issue you found with the water and the recommendation to use the striping seems like a pretty common issue for all racks and crossbars, I had the same thing on my Thule crossbars on my previous car and never ran into issues after adding the molding. Has yours held up? Also, the Sherpa does have slots to work in T bolts without removing the crossbars like the Prinsu does?

Any other issues you've had since last posting?

I like the Sherpa does not touch the roof with the front wind fairing but seeing that the Prinsu does touch and folks have been doing cheap PPF on the roof to prevent issues. Not the end of the world, but also not a fan of the 3M tape method of the front feet on the Prinsu. I like the Sherpa leaves all of that factory. I watched an install video they did and it does not seem too bad to get that front part snugged down right.

Sorry, just rambling out loud at this point, anyway, curious if you have any other longterm thoughts.
