Looks like the cargo floor is not user removable or hiding and storage areas. Can anyone confirm?

Also, on the driver side rear cargo floor there is a plastic cover to a cut out but, again, does not seem to be a user removable area.

My goal was to find storage for infrequently used items.

No underfloor storage on non hybrid models, I liked keeping my fishing and camping gear there on my old highlander also that "area" on the drivers side I was betting was some cubby but you can not lift it up.

Same.. was actually going to post to see what other people were doing for jumper cables. This is my first 4Runner and was really surprised to not find a good place to put things like these that I don't want sitting all the time

I’m in the process of building out a platform with storage below. Starting to take shape as of tonight.

I apologize upfront if this was a silly question, but this is my first 4runner. Is there a specific way to get the cargo floor cover off? I’m just talking about the carpeted cover. I don’t want to keep pulling and break something, but I can’t seem to find anything in the manual how to easily pull it off.
