Yikes. Thanks for sharing. Too bad because I was about to pull the trigger on the carven. It sounds so good on stock downpipe. But I'd rather have a downpipe than cat back 😆

Did I miss it, or can you share some clips with the downpipe and stock catback?

the
I don't have any clips with the stock catback, but I can get one. The sound is almost 100% stock except at cold start.

You rock. Will you be trying any others? Nytop (nudge nudge)? Awe?
Also when do you expect DPs will be available for the platform? I'm excited to dig in on the performance side but waiting for all the bits to come together before I tune or do anything. Having a pro, can't just slap on an intake :(

Nick at FaF is about to ship his first order of them. He's busy hand building the best quality downpipes available for the T24A-FTS market.

The stock pro intake flows really well actually! I would run the stock intake, maybe an intercooler, and tune. Downpipe would get you that extra bit as well.

Love it! Will be getting as soon as I can. Oh and yes the TRD intake is completely adequate but lacks the fun noises 🙂

1-year update on the truck.

Just crossed 11,500 miles. Still my daily and it gets driven and logged constantly.

This has also been my main test platform over the last year. A lot of dyno time, a lot of back-to-back testing, and a lot of real-world miles to validate changes instead of just relying on quick results.

I’ve used it for development work with SXTH Element (intake and intercooler), FAF downpipe testing, different fuel setups, and a lot of calibration changes across different conditions.

I also had a custom turbo built for it as a development piece. It wasn’t cheap and it failed almost immediately. I kept that public because that’s part of doing this the right way. Not everything works, but you learn quickly and move forward with better direction.

Point is—everything I offer is based on this kind of testing. This truck isn’t theory, it’s what I’m working on and logging almost every day.

Appreciate all the support over the last year. There’s more coming—new turbo options, proven combinations, and some bigger partnerships.

Cobb released a big update today, and the 2 key items worth noting are:
1. Full MAF scaling control. This means we can now tune for TRD Pro intakes on non-pro trucks, and aftermarket intakes can be added to the Pro or Trailhunter. This is huge.
2. Transmission temperature has been added as an available monitor (gauge) on the Accessport. Now you can monitor transmission temps in real-time.

Do you have any plans to tune the 3rd gen tundra? If not do you have any recommendations on who to go with?

Yes I do and once I have a good idea on when support will be available, I will be buying a truck so that I can do development on my own vehicle before bringing it to market.

How has all of this effected gas mileag?
It's all very dependent on your right foot. A lot of times mileage will drop a bit during and after tuning because the owner is enjoying it a little too much. I have about 11,500 miles on my truck and it has been tuned since it had 3,000 miles on it. I can still manage 20 to 21 miles per gallon on the freeway and it is not a hybrid. Keeping the truck in the right gear, especially at highway speeds, can really help MPG.
