Yeah when I went to test drive I asked why there were two light options. The lights on the hatch - $200 option I believe - is vastly inferior to this option. But it sets you back $589. I believe this is a port installed option if you don't already have your vehicle.
Yes it is a PIO option.

Installed these this weekend and they might be my favorite addition so far. The difference in the cargo area is impressive. I did disconnect the battery for install and had no issues with the electronics at all.

I installed the D-Pillar cargo lights this evening, Took me a bout 40 minutes - 30 minutes for the first (right) side and 5 for left - plus disconnecting the battery - which I did but PROBABLY is not necessary. It does make a difference. (See photos). All the settings (seat position, etc) came back after cycling engine power twice. Had to shut the tail hatch by hand the first time. But… when backing up for the first time ever I had the dreaded brake squeal - could there be a correlation with battery disconnect???

Thanks for the photos. Looks like a noticeable difference.

would this work if you have a 3rd row.
I wasn’t able to find a part specifically for third row. It looks like it can be done with some modding.

I gotta figure out how to get to the lower anchor point to pass the belt through after I try to match the cutout.

Great info. I just picked up my 2026 TRD Off Road Premium iForceMAX on Tuesday. Reading through the sticker, I see I have these lights. I just opened the hatch and noticed them. It's daylight so hard to judge how well they work. Question - is it possible to turn on & off just these lights? If I'm car camping, can I turn them on from inside? Thanks!

While it's dark outside or in your garage, hold something over the upper cargo lights to see just how dim the smaller lights are.
