I would consider the BamBed Leveling Platform with the Luno AIR+FOAM PRO Vehicle Mattress.

if its in the budget then the BamBed full sleeping platform which includes more board. This is more suitable for a frequent user.

I cut to fit some plywood to lay over top some cargo bins with the seat folded down. Can't get much cheaper than that and it gets the job done!

+1 for Hele Box. Easy to setup and break down. Adjustable legs so you can dial in your preferred height. They sell short legs — "stubbies" — that you'd probably want to use with the elevated hybrid cargo area. Their new V2 topper is made of aluminum and shaves some weight off an already portable solution.

I have the Duo platform and use it with a Exped Auto foam+air mattress.
