Newest Install - Banks hot and cold charge pipes.

I can’t get over the quality and care that went into these. Crazy impressed

Install was very straight forward and provided instructions and video from Banks. 3 hours total in the freezing cold lol. Toughest was the cold pipe and just feeding the runner coupler on.

I like the synergy of upgrading the exhaust, the CAI, the boost tubes, turbo inlet, and intercooler. Then tune.

I haven’t done any test drives except to fire it up and ensure they are secure.

Will I notice any gain? Most likely no. But upgrading the entire spectrum above, for me, gives me, the benefits I’m looking for

I installed these on my PRO and LC250. Have OTT Tune on both and Magnaflow on the LC250. I feel these give a noticeable increase in low to mid-range performance.

Much nicer than the factory tubes for sure. When I see these (and not just Banks), I wonder why they did not integrate the silicone coupler into the aluminum part that snaps onto the factory fitting with the clip. It would eliminate 4 hose clamps from the entire setup.

You’re in a Pro and you start off with more than any other trim if it’s not a Hybrid. I dunno if it would really be worth it on the non-Hybrid.

We still have the ORP-MAX that has a lift but the engine is bone stock. I can distinguish a noticeable difference between it and the PRO and LC250. I have also added mods one at a time on the others to distinguish any noticeable gains. I feel the tuned vehicles spool up quicker and the transmissions seem to shift better.. I undoubtedly run mine a bit more aggressively than most, considering what others have stated. Sometimes one can over tune a vehicle. I'm happy where mine are and have an interest with several other items that are supposedly coming to market. I'm looking forward to reading reviews and will decide going forward. I'm also pleased with the hybrid drivelines and glad that I went that direction. My son has purchased numerous Tacoma non hybrids for his business and has had good results having done so.

I completely forgot you also have a LC250 as well. lol. I’m glad you’re pleased with it. I haven’t thought much into it to be completely honest.

Firsts, my (relatively) dumb questsion...what are these for? I mean, I know they are pipes...but for what?

And what is the point/reason for replaceing the stock ones?

They route the intake charge in through the intercooler and out into the intake tract . Stock tubes are rubber hoses with metal connectors, replacements are usually constructed of aluminum tubing with silicone and billet aluminum connectors Aftermarket are usually larger diameter and dissipate heat where rubber won't, and aftermarket tubes shouldn't flex. The reduction of restrictions in the intake tract reduce heat while increasing flow which will make a little more power. Are these a game changer? A little, but when adding a CAI, a better Turbo inlet, exhaust and tune, these items can make a beneficial difference. I don't think these are for our pocket protector, slide rule crowd worried about how to soften their ride. Heat is the enemy of power and these definitely help
