Hi, new member here.

I just reserved an incoming 2026 Underground TRD Pro that should get to the dealer in a couple of weeks. This vehicle will mainly see general daily driving duty, road trips, but also quite a bit of mild to moderate off roading as we spend at least on month a year in the Sedona AZ area and I enjoy disappearing in the mountains and the desert. :)

I'm not familiar with the platform so I've been watching YT videos and reading forums trying to learn as much as I can before I start buying stuff for it. This was a helpful video and the owner says that he put on 295/70/18 tires with no lift and no issue on his truck.

I like the way they look on his truck but most of the people here seem to be doing 285s not 295s ... has anyone one else done this and can confirm that these will fit with no rubbing or alterations needed?

Thanks.

You can run 295/70/R18 on a TRD Pro. You’ll need to modify the fender liner. Remove the front crash plates. And if you want that size with minimal modification drop down to a 17inch wheel with a +35 offset. You’ll also Wanna grab the Westcott Designs Preload Collar Lift.

I was going to try to run the tires on the stock wheels and suspension first and see how it looks and rides, and then decide if I want to do the wescott collars.

So you're saying I'll need to trim the liners ... I'm not sure what crash plates are.

You’re better off staying with 285s on stock wheels. No mods needed.

Also if I were to switch to 285 or 295, can either of them be mounted on the spare rim and still fit in its oem location?

Thanks

I would say no, my 285 mounts up there with zero room to spare (without mods).

If you run 295. You’re going to rub on certain things at full lock, fender liner. You’ll rub the front crash plates as full turn. You don’t know what they are. Google it. It’s hard to explain. I did a crate plate delete on mine.

285/70/18 on stock wheel fits underneath for a full size spare

Ok thanks guys, that’s super helpful. I guess I’m going to go wirth 285s.

Now I have to pick a brand and model. I see a lot of folks are going with the K03s, has anyone tried the Nitto recons. or any other brands that they recommend?

I had BF KO3s on my last suv and I decided to go with these this time after weighing a bunch of different factors.

I'm considering these same Toyo's. Had them on our Ford Ranger for 5+ years and loved them.

Were your OEM tires 265/70R18 Falken Wildpeaks ?

How do these Toyo LT's compare ? Noise, ride quality, etc.

My stocks were Michelins. If I had Falkens I would have kept them. I had Falken WP ATIIIs on my Pathfinder and really liked them.
