KO3s going on this week.
FYI. Make sure they road force balance them. I had to swap a tire yesterday because I was getting a slight wobble at 55 or so. It is better, but still kind of there, going to swing by again today and see how they look on the machine.

How does it ride around town and on the highway? Been debating getting these in the stock size in D1 rating. Or getting them in 275 E.

@shyamzy I've actually had quite the journey. I swapped from theses KO3s to Falken AT4Ws in 265/70/18, and finally landed on Toyo Open Country AT3 in an E load, 275/70/18.

The BFG are the quietest tire out of all 3, close to stock SL Toyo AT3. They were the heaviest and you could feel it for sure. I had some balance issues, they swapped one tire and it got better, but I wanted to also see what the AT4Ws were like.

Had even worse balance issues with those and ended up where I am now in the Toyo. The E load Toyos are 50 pounds, so 11 heavier than stock, but I trust the E load much more off-road. Yet to be seen though. They are the loudest out of all the tires I've tried, but not miserable. They are also the best for MPG next to stock SL AT3, I am averaging close to 19 after 3 fills with them.

Right now I have them at 38 PSI and I think that is a little high as you can feel the little bumps in the road. I am bought some chalk and I am going to see how low I get before it is too low. Going to start with 35, but might end up back where stock is at 33.

Anyway, if you do want to stick BFG. I'd recommend D load to try and save some weight as they were the heaviest to get rolling so stop/start traffic wasn't great. Which is my ride home 4 days a week. Once you got them moving though they were pretty nice on road, again, pretty dang quiet for what they are. Quieter than the KO2s were that is for sure.

What did draw me to the 275 KO3, and the same for the 275 Toyo AT3, is they are a true 33" diameter tire. Probably dumb as 32.64" isn't that much difference, just a mental thing for me.

Appreciate the thorough reply bud. I’ll probably try the ko3 in D1 and see how it goes. Cheers!

Enjoy! Having done both now I think they are a better pick over the Falken AT4W. I am really liking the E load Toyos though. They are much more aggressive looking than the factory SL. Hard to go wrong with BFG though. Hand in hand with 4Runners through the years.

Just picked up my 26 4Runner Pro last week and Im going to throw on KO3’s in 275/70/18 tonight.
I’ve been running KO2’s for 15 years- on my 21 4Runner ORP I got 80k miles on a set with proper inflation and rotations…

Getting a free tire in trade from the slightly used stock tires I'm trading in, I’ll call that a win.
