2025 4Runner SR5 brakes squeal like dying banshee when cold

Great it seems fixed, but now you have voided your brake warranty from Toyota. I would have waited it out for the TSB, which is now available.

Few hundred miles later (500 total) on the 6th Gen and no more noise. Parts in the photo and like I said I left the gold plate between the caliper and pads put this go round. Not a peep out of them yet! I’m calling it fixed.

In this trim yes. However I kept the factory parts. If it squeaks again I’ll put the factory parts back and drop it off to Toyota.

I went in to Toyota quoting the TSB that went out. They had the replacement parts in stock for immediate repair. Looks to be a shim kit and a full front brake replacement. No issues with any squealing in post

I’ve had my 4Runner for two months and absolutely love it! The squealing started around 400 miles. I now have just under 1000 and took it in for an oil change today and wanted my brakes checked. I’m attaching what I found out and am thrilled it will be taken care of when the parts come in. I was also told that an alert was sent out from Toyota three days ago about this issue.
