Per google below, my full tank is totally different. Is there a reason why??

The 2025 Toyota 4Runner TRD Off-Road Premium has a 19-gallon fuel tank capacity, requiring regular unleaded fuel. This size provides an estimated driving range of about 361-380 miles on the highway under typical conditions.

I've been tracking this issue on my hybrid 4Runner, and the data I've collected indicates that my 19 gallon fuel tank consistently has ~3 gallons of gas left in it when the gauge is reading empty, so I suspect it's a sensor issue that can hopefully be calibrated. The readings are off by the same amount every time, so I'm going to ask Toyota service to look into it next time I take it in...

there are a few threads out there talking about this. Next time you fill up see how many gallons the tank accepts.

My range has read 340mi the past couple of fill ups, averaging 20.5mpg with mixed driving.

How many total miles on your rig?

I need to start tracking mine too - i'm averaging 19 mpg but my range only calcs to 305 generally - which means the tank is holding back about 3 gallons and could actually go about 360 miles

All the 2025 (6th gen) 4Runners have 19 gallon tank. I'm confident your SR5 is no different.

Per the manual, there are 2.8 gallons left when fuel indicator turns amber and low fuel message pops up. I've confirmed this with data/photos I've posted to other threads (linked below). And based on my data (see table) the distance to go it shows after fill is something close to 17.2 gallons times MPG average to date. (rough estimate based on comparing reported distance to go before fill number from the dash with my calculated "actual" based on 19 gallon tank and MPG Tank) The numbers don't work out exactly but are sort of close. If correct, your 308 miles to go after fill (assuming that is what you mean in original post) implies that your average fuel economy to date is about 17.9 MPGs - not great but not out of line with numbers some others report (Mine was 16.2 on my first tank and has steadily increased tank to tank. Also, in my experience city MPGs are much lower than EPA estimate - even with my Hybrid).
Here is my latest data with new column added that does the "distance to go estimated calculation": 17.2 * MPG Total, where MPG total is odometer miles divided by Gallons (total).

Hope this real data helps shed light on what you might be experiencing. My approach was motivated by the vready post that berkrunner quoted above - am interested in seeing this level of specific data from others - if you do so, suggest posting to the "real world mpg" link.

(Also - if anyone thinks they know exactly how the 4Runner computer calculates the miles to go value I'm curious. I know it uses previous measurements and I checked both current tank MPG and averaging the last three. Total average was closest - but not quite right...)
