What are the cons to installing a 2" lift? Alignment, ride quality, ... ?

Any lift will require an alignment. I went with a 1.5 inch on the front only. It took a few months before I could get it aligned, because the alignment wasn’t even available at the dealership or anywhere else. So, it wasn’t far out.

A 1.5 to 2.0 lift should be fine leaning more toward the 1.5.
And you need an alignment after any suspension mods.

My 5th gen took a 2-in but it was right on the Edge, and I mean right on the edge of being totally out.
And I had method Wheels that I'm pretty sure we're 9 inch width along with Nitto Grapplers running a factory size.

I'm waiting for the Bilstein to release their lift kit. But I am keeping in the back of my mind that I might have to have an extra $900 for a set of OCA's.

Good luck

I did the Westcott Preload Collar lift on my Pro. Giving me 2.5” in the front and 0.75” in the back. Was worth it to me. I’m still on mx stock suspension.
