is the consensus that Screen ProTech is one of the best options for a matte/anti glare 14" screen film?

this Tacoma link was previously shared as it included shifter/climate as 4R option doesnot

any others to consider?

is one set typically enough? if i knew another local owner (Canada - Greater Hamilton area) i would split a 2-pack i guess, but outside of that it should be straightforward installation?

As much as I want to get the wet install, I’m just too chicken to install it. I’m afraid of water to leak and destroy stuff.

The screen protector for the main display was easy to install, but the one for the gauge cluster was a bit more difficult due to its different material

I cheated on the install, went to my window tint shop and they did both, they're the experts

I used screen protech and I would recommend it. I was liberal with the solution and there was no damage to any components. My install wasn't perfect, the upper right corner was slightly up on the bezel, after a week of it curing in the heat, I couldn't see the raised edge anymore.

Get the Spigen Tempered Glass in matte. No solution or wet install required. Took me all of 2 minutes, no bubbles whatsoever, and it's great. No glare and hardly any finger prints visible even when the screen is off. Unfortunately they don't seem to have one for the instrument cluster yet, but I'm not rubbing my fingers all over that one.

so, i installed the 14" matte cover from Screen Protech yesterday evening, and it was a little dark in the vehicle. noticed that i left a couple sizable bubbles right where you don't want to see them. it was obvious today in full daylight. i know small bubbles will dissipate but these are the size of a dime.

any suggestions for these larger ones? or is it peel off and redo?

I had a similar issue. I sprayed more of the solution and squeegeed the bubbles with the tool slowly to the closest edge. They either came all the way out, or became small enough that they eventually dissipated.

I thought it was set as well, I was kicking myself for not paying for the second set of film. But it will definitely come out, I was squeegeeing out bubbles on day 5 with no issue. Now it looks perfect. Just trust the process its a great product.

on my 23 tundra, i used the protech matte on the 14in screen and the digital dash. the 14in went on perfect.

the digital dash i had to try twice. use the bottle and dont skimp on the wetness.

even then i still had bubbles and some were pretty big. the big ones took about 3-4 months during the summer heat for the bubbles to finally disappear but i now i dont have 1 bubble in the digital dash area.

quick option is to use a needle syringe to pull the bubble out just make sure you get a very small needle.

just a reminder on the protech website when going for the 2025 screen protectors.

even though the drop down only says "2025 14" infotainment", the kits contain both the driver display and the infotainment display screen protectors.

i emailed protect and they clarified the 2025 kits contain both VS the 2020-2024 that show as "Driver dispaly + infotainment"

cause i was totally confused why they only offered the infotainment protector and not the driver display like the 5th gens they sold.

Have you noticed any refraction on the screen when you're wearing polarized sunglasses?
