I've moved the fader to total rear, set the least amount of treble and mids, set the bass to max & put the volume at 45. Barely any bass at all...it sounds like the signal is ghosted from the front if that makes sense.
I've tried FM radio & Spotify via Bluetooth as that's what I have available to me. Both sources are the same result. It's like only the bass in the rear door speakers and subwoofer have been filtered out even with the infotainment bass setting maxed out. I can't find any other settings that...
I'm not buying that it is working as it should. When I bought mine the bass was kickin` throughout the interior. Now all I hear is bass in the front.
Brian Day said earlier in this thread that his dealership ordered a new amp for his. I wonder if that is the necessary fix.
My rear doors play but the bass is non-existent. The subwoofer is barely audible & I'm not even sure it's actually playing at all because of the rear doors playing.
At least I know I'm not the only one with the problem.
When I bought 7 months ago all speakers were working. At some point the bass...
I'm really hoping this is not a hardware issue & can be corrected with a software update or something. As of now there doesn't seem to be any software updates available or needed according to my infotainment console or in the Toyota app. It really sucks paying extra for a "premium" sound system...
Hi all,
TRD Sport Premium. There is NO bass coming out of the rear subwoofer & NO bass coming from the rear door speakers. I've checked all audio settings & all is as its supposed to be. Anyone out there having this problem & have any easy suggestions of how to fix it?
Thanks!
Thank you very much for posting this! This is exactly what I've been thinking I want to do to my TRD Sport Premium and now that I see how it looks, how simple it is to do and how affordable it is I'm seriously considering doing the same.

You're covering the existing plastic strip however you're also covering the edges of the door sills & more of the exposed paint which is likely to become scratched or chipped at some point. My old 2003 Tundra somehow got paint scratched away on the driver side sill & it bugs the shit out of me...
TuxMats are totally late to the party. They have the 7 seater set which is currently out of stock but don't have the 5 seater set yet which makes little sense. The way it's going the '26 4Runners will be out by the time TuxMats gets their act together. I would've loved to have had them but I had...
I understand...and you might be correct. Only time will tell though if you are. Just to play devil's advocate, I'd venture to say that the JBL! speakers would be fine for long period of time with a bit of gain not beyond about 50% but the Toyota branded speakers would probably be toast much...
If I'm not mistaken, you're concerns would be negligible as long as the gain on the amp is no more than 50%. At the video's recommended 50% there seems to be a noticeable volume gain & more clarity however even a lower gain setting would decrease “stress” on the speakers & should still improve...
I should also mention that I'm using an oil drain plug valve with tubing called ValvoMax which eliminates the need to use a funnel when draining the oil from the pan.
