  1. No Bass in JBL Rear Subwoofer & Rear Door Speakers

🤯🤯🤯 That right there confirms it for me. There's definitely something wrong with the sound system. Thank you very much for posting those clips!
  2. No Bass in JBL Rear Subwoofer & Rear Door Speakers

To be honest I'm not sure because I haven't literally sat in the back seat to listen. I've just opened the rear doors & the lift gate, gotten close to the speakers & listened to know if those speakers were sounding the same as the front speakers. But if the bass is non-existent in the rear...
  3. No Bass in JBL Rear Subwoofer & Rear Door Speakers

Thank you for posting & letting us know. 🙏🏻 Please keep us updated if/when you find a fix.
  4. No Bass in JBL Rear Subwoofer & Rear Door Speakers

Yeah I'm not expecting it to "hit" but it should be "punchy" with a JBL label on it. JBL is widely known to provide punchy bass. My current problem does neither & in fact is barely audible in the rear speakers.
  5. No Bass in JBL Rear Subwoofer & Rear Door Speakers

I think it would be reasonable to have the rear door speakers at 60-80 hz & above with the subwoofer at 60-80 hz & below to match in order to not have a gap in frequencies. The subwoofer is dedicated to low end frequencies but it should definitely be heard & even punchy to a certain extent. I...
  6. No Bass in JBL Rear Subwoofer & Rear Door Speakers

I seriously doubt it. Humans don't typically hear 20 hz and lower frequencies. Would not make sense to low pass filter it that way. Toyota & JBL should also know that a majority of people want to hear & feel the subwoofer. If how mine is playing is normal for the system then paying extra for it...
  7. No Bass in JBL Rear Subwoofer & Rear Door Speakers

Thanks for finding that. Now it's got me wondering about that... But it's odd that the mids & highs are working fine...just not the bass.
  8. No Bass in JBL Rear Subwoofer & Rear Door Speakers

Yeah that's the thing though...the bass is strong in the front that it sounds pretty good but when you fade it to the rear speakers only the bass is practically inaudible from behind the front aeats. In my opinion the bass should definitely be audible from the subwoofer at least (that's assuming...
  9. No Bass in JBL Rear Subwoofer & Rear Door Speakers

Thanks for the information. In my younger years I was very much into car audio. I remember having 8s & 10s that bumped hard & were clearly louder than the issue I'm having with my 4Runner's rear speakers. I'm just having trouble believing that the rear speakers are supposed to have practically...
  10. No Bass in JBL Rear Subwoofer & Rear Door Speakers

So the bass in the rear doors & subwoofer in yours is the same as it is in your front speakers?
  11. No Bass in JBL Rear Subwoofer & Rear Door Speakers

Thanks for doing that & reporting back. I think that it's something worth looking further into. There are a few people in here that have the issue so far. I'm wondering how many people have even played with the audio settings & found that there is practically no bass in the rear but don't...
  12. No Bass in JBL Rear Subwoofer & Rear Door Speakers

Yeah my brakes have the common squeal in reverse. Not sure about my spoiler having a problem yet. Haven't heard any door rattles yet. My rubber channel strips were removed so PPF could be installed up there so I'll have to keep an eye on those rubbers. I did a roof rail delete on mine (not by...
