I personally don't plan on taking mine to a dealership for oil changes or much else unless absolutely necessary. I trust the monkeys there less than at private shops not to mention paying ridiculous dealership prices. I also only want Pennzoil Ultra Platinum oil & Car Quest Premium oil filters...
As the originator of this thread, I just wanted to follow up by saying that I purchased a set of skids from Rival 4X4 while they were on sale. I've not yet had them installed though. They are a nice thickness, aluminium & have a decent looking powder coating on them.
? ridiculous that Toyota is not being proactive about this issue! ? It's just a brake problem being reported to them while under warranty on the first year of a totally redesigned model not to mention several other Toyota models are having the same exact issue. Toyota has been slipping the last...
Yeah I stopped using gasoline from brands-stations that don't sell Top Tier gasoline a while back. In the past I put in non-Top Tier & Top Tier gasoline in my 2003 Tundra & it's still running like a champ with 352,500+ miles on it to date. But I often use Lucas Upper Cylinder & Fuel Injector...
Do you think there is any longevity benefits for the engine general or at least the turbos themselves by running midgrade (89) gasoline instead of regular grade (87)?
I'm not concerned too much with improving performance or power. I just want to put in what I can to prolong the service life of...
I agree...oil changes are the #1 way to extend engine life & minimize problems.
I live in Houston, TX...only about 177 miles from Georgetown, TX. Our new 4Runners call for 0W-20 motor oil. What's your opinion on using that in our climate?
That's reassuring to me particularly because I drove mine home from the dealership 243 miles mostly highway & I used ACC most of the way. I've been concerned because I didn't realize at the time what a proper break in procedure consists of. This is my first brand new vehicle & I didn't think...
Yes the JDMCAR ONE does fit. It's the same dimensions as the TACOBRO product. I compared them side by side before gladly returning the TACOBRO one to Amazon.
I prefer this one from JDMCAR rather than the one from TACOBRO. It's got a better design with my usable space inside in my opinion. It does use double sided tape though which I'm fine with.
âť” What are advantages of all this stuff in the video? (I'm genuinely curious.)
âť” What's the disadvantages of using OE Toyota supplied parts in the wheel wells?
That's a great idea using felt to line back edge of the visor to help prevent glass damage.
âť” Could you provide a link for the felt you ordered please?
Thanks again for your reply & for sharing your experience. I'm strongly considering a set of in-channel visors but I've never had any on my previous vehicles. Your insight is appreciated. ?
Hi
I'm curious about this product & I'd appreciate your honest opinion as a trial tester.
I like the look installed & the function the visors perform but I'm a bit concerned about the visors causing potential damage to tinted glass & creating stress on the electric window motors if these are...
I don't know why it's taking TuxMats so long to produce a set for the '25 4Runners but they lost a sale. I had to go with the Lasfit mats during the U.S. Memorial Day sale. But I do highly prefer the TuxMats even for more money. Just need mats now & TuxMats is way behind others for the product.
Change the brake pads & rotors in the front first to rule out the rear brakes causing the noise. Use Akebono or Direct Import (O'Reilly Auto Parts) pads & Direct Import rotors. Save your receipts & hope for a class action lawsuit or reimbursement from Toyota. If still making noise change the...
