Anytime you use a fast track or a paid Highway that has any type of transducer on your vehicle, that's associated with usually your name and address and ID not to mention your license plate. Personal devices are all visible, they can be triangulated in a large crowd.
Hyundai and Kia have been data mining for years in they're automobiles. They are major perpetrators in data , I recently ordered a package and the trackability was from a company in Las Vegas Chinese owned and they were forcing me to accept their policies. No option for you to reject it etc.
Your smart televisions and Wi-Fi service is being data mined and tracked for sale.
And then at a Grassroots level we have our own Auto/Truck dealerships turning in our information to Carfax for insurance companies.
They like to jack up your rates based on your miles being used..
I really digress when I say this, but unless you live in a bubble and are completely off the grid, your data is out there.
Your best defense is to Monitor and mediate what your exposure level is.
Things like quit subscribing to every link that you open up on the internet. Don't accept cookies unless you can have an option to reject all of them. Companies are notorious to not give you that option but the laws are changing.
So you just have to reject everything.
Your browser needs to be filtered and looked at very closely on what you put out there. It's all about your own personal exposure and what you allow. Use a mobile VPN.

So that little red box on the upper left of the dash the shows when you go +1 or more over the speed limit....wonder how much of that data is being sent to insurance companies

You don't have to sign into your TV. You can also block its access to the internet. Mine hasn't been connected since 2014 and the other, 2025. I've never signed into any account on either. My printer is also denied internet access. My browser is oriented to privacy and all cookies and history is deleted when I close the tab or browser window. Ibdonuseba VPN to at least make it hard in my ISP and I run leak tests to see what is getting by. I want to know. I'm saying you can lower your cross section.
My problem is when I can't opt out without completely divorcing myself from a normal life.

You think Toyota is going to call local PD and report a stolen car??? LMAO ive got some ocean front property to sell you in Montana if you think so.... unless you live in Mayberry USA not one PD will chase down your stolen car... They will wait until its dumped and notify you to pick it up! All this tech that protects your vehicle is just a false hope of security my guy.
