Anyone know of the easiest way to look up part numbers? I just came back from a trip in the California Redwoods, and I must’ve parked next to a building at the right time of day. It melted my rear hatch plastic pillar cover and the rear passenger side wheel flare.
I have looked at a couple websites, but nothing has listed these parts that I can tell.

you do realize the original thread is a blue 4runner and this thread op is a white 4runner

i think he is just reporting his issue separate from the other thread
But its kind of weird to have posts in one thread from someone and then days later start their own thread about the same thing with no new information.

But its nothing compared to the will these tires fit questions

The post is asking for part numbers or help to find the best part numbers for myself. I decided to place it on its own post to see if I can achieve the help instead of being buried in someone else’s post. I thought it was a pretty clear ask if you read what I asked for… TWICE. And here we are, no help- just pissing and moaning.
Sorry that the post offended a couple of you. Apparently this site is full of the same people that sit on the ring and neighborhood apps complaining about trash cans and coyotes.

I shudder, at the thought of this occurring to me, and so I truly feel for you. Being a 1st time Toyo owner, I too have found it extremely difficult to locate proper P/Ns, and their nomenclature lacking severely...especially when the 4R has such notoriety for modding, but Toyo seems hellbent on keeping their grapes (head, for civilian types) 300 yards up their aces. I hope you find resolution on this.

yeah parts naming vaguely reminds me of how the military names parts, still kills me to this day when i see descriptions sometimes at work on how they are named in tech manuals.

"wiring harness, combination lock"

"switch, limit, sensitive"

One time my sister was moving a convex makeup mirror in her back seat and it caught the sun and burned a hole through the passenger seat. Luckily all that foam is flame retardant but it filled up her car with gross smoke. I have heard of this happening with binoculars left on the dashboard as well.

I would personally take this to the dealer and try to have it replaced under warranty. This shouldn't happen.
I did- they want $1,100 and called it an act of God- “Solar convergence”. They said that they’ve seen this repeatedly, but Toyota always denies the claim. The worst part is that my rig only has 8200 miles and just over a year old.

lol you think any other oem wont consider this same scenario as an act of god???

park another non toyota vehicle in that same spot and you will get the same thing from that manufacturer.

sadly this happens more than you think especially in big cities with tall building and lots of windows

there was a london building and las vegas building that did this in the 2010's

and i saw a post somewhere where a lexus had it happen to them recently

edit : here is a pic of the lexus
