Chiming in here to say I have the same issue. 1400 miles on a 2025. Codes on a regular scanner are P2195 and P00D5. Part on backorder until at least 12/15 as of today.

Clearly a big and common issue, hopefully not the start of rough waters but I'm not convinced.
Update on my situation in case anyone ever reads the thread. Dealer would not provide a loaner, in asking I got this response "we heard back this mornig from our Toyota Rep and they will not cover a rental car at this time unfortunately".

Also, ETA has been pushed back PAST 12/15 now. So, payment on new car, no loaner, for over a month.. :D

Not sure the replacement transportation they denied is accurate.
But possible I am reading this wrong.
Look at the Warranty and Maintenance Guide, small booklet of maybe 30 pages.
See pg 9. "Transportation Assistance".
Looks like you fit in there. But no one is defining "assistance".
So the dealer that fixed mine did not even offer 10 speed for me to pedal home on....
Best of luck. Do not underestimate who is reading these posts:cool:

Hopefully final update:
After being called yesterday and told that arrival estimate is Dec 21st, dealer calls back today and says my part is here and ready for service. Ended up waiting about 10 days in total. Hopefully the end of this.

Well congratulations, quite a coincidence the part appeared in a day......
Let's hope this is limited and we will see 100,000 failure free miles

Yes I agree especially with a new purchase. And especially from Toyota.
Loss of use in MA is 15 days. Then refund, including all expenses related to the purchase, taxes, registration, etc. or replacement. Your choice.
I assume your state has similar laws.
Loss of use is pretty straight forward, unlike nagging failures.
I'm not sure if bringing this up to Toyota Care would speed up the part replacement.
I am also unsure if you put the lemon law in motion if you can back out.
Best of luck, my month availability for the part actually turned out to be 2 weeks so let's hope yours shows up earlier.
I went through that with a 2024 Mercedes glc. It was in and out of the shop for 3 weeks on different occasions totaling five times. Left me stranded twice had to be towed. It was all related to the mild hybrid system that a lot of cars are using now. I called corporate Mercedes and requested a buyback and they acknowledged, then it was a waiting process of close to a month and a half. But they reimbursed me Penny to Penny.
keep all your records, I believe it's a total accumulation of time of each incident; it does not have to be the same type of problem, the car is to new!
Just my two cents.
