Rear recovery hook - part number: PT974-89251-03 (how to buy in Canada)?

Hello everyone.
I’ve been trying for a while to find this rear recovery hook in red for my new 2026 4Runner in Canada and can’t seem to find it with our local dealers here.
I’ve found it in US, however, for whatever reason, it’s not being shipped to Canada.
Anyone has any idea where I could get this in Canada?

Is the rear recovery hook as easy to replace / upgrade as the front ones? Is the torque spec for the bolts for the OEM rear recovery hook installation the same as the front ones at 64 lbs-ft?

Yes easy, no, 51.6 ft/lbs. Needs less umph.

You could try a Japanese seller. I just got my horn upgrade from Japan and it only took 5 days -- Easy peasy

Just replaced the factory stock black recovery hook with the OEM red ones. Looks great!

I tried ordering this from a dealer in Alberta today and they told me i cant buy it because I have an ORP and not a pro trim

Yup, ive seen others install it. The dealer wont sell me the part though as they say I need a TRD Pro or trailhunter trim in order to be allowed to have it. Very annoying. There's a trd pro a few streets over from me - i might ask them to order it haha.

That isn't the issue. Some dealers won't let you order certain parts if you don't have a TRD Pro trim. Which in this case seems insane.

Ya. If it was like a TRD pro tailgate or seats, I'd get it. My brother works in parts at a Chev dealer and said they wont sell z08 parts to a base Corvette owner. The tow hook seems silly though. I want it for practical/safety reasons as much as the aesthetic. And third party ones are ridiculously expensive.

Just pick a different dealer online to order from then, Gresham Toyota does free shipping most of the time and has some of the lower prices for Toyota parts. It’s usually cheaper to order from Toyota parts online than in person too.

They now have it as an accessory on the Toyota Canada website.

Do you have to drop the spare to install? I have mine and was ready to install but the 2nd back bolt seemed really close to the spare. Didn't have time to dive into it at the time.

I finally got one in Canada, I just had to ask a second dealer to order it.

I didn't have to drop the spare to install it, although that second bolt was indeed tricky.
