I installed same rack and fairly certain in the install video they tell you to make sure there is a gap. I laid a microfiber cloth folder a couple times in front , back and middle of rails. Then got everything really tight and removed the cloths. I have very little gap in front but it's not touching and nice few mm gap or more everywhere else. I have zero issues with the rack. Now the 270 awning mounts that's a different story 🤣
I had a hell of a time getting the correct awning mounts from them. I have their molle panels, they had to redesign the awning brackets for me since they didn’t fit the rack in the rear.

Wait they had to redesign them for you too? I sent photos showing it didn't work with molle panels and that it doesn't fit the spacing for awning. I ended up drilling a new hole to fix spacing after they sent a revised mount for molle panel(they acted like this was the first time and that was just weeks agošŸ˜‚) and they kind of argued with me about the spacing for mounting awning saying the specs are right there on site and quoting it's 2" center to center when the phone shows it's clearly not and should not be. I'm happy with the rack but only bought it because I thought I needed that extra .75" to fit in garage with tent but nope it would have fit easy with any other options but it was too late.

I contacted them last December, letting them know they didn't fit properly. They sent me a redesigned bracket-the holes did not line up. I spent weeks going back and forth with them, ignoring texts and phone calls, which they did not respond to efficiently. They finally redesigned the rear bracket and sent me a new one about a month ago. That one works. I will post pictures of it in a little bit. If you look at their website, they have a new 270-degree bracket listed. I'm pretty sure that is because of me. But I wish I had matching brackets.

When they tried to push the limited how low that roof rack can go without proper RD then now HOUSTON we have a problem. I didn’t go with this brand at all. In fact all my mods are oversea including my rood rack. It is just perfectly the right height and no issues at all. The roof rack only cost me less than 500 bucks including the external molle system.

The scary part is 3 months later they are still having to ā€œredesignā€œ the bracket. It was listed on site with molle panels and that was what I ordered. But even then before I bought this I felt like I have had to ask 1000 questions about every product, almost none of these companies seem to be well run as far as information on the product, the websites certainly are horrible. God forbid you want to know weight of an item your bolting on.

Correct. My Oversea suppliers provided better customers services than these domestic vendors.

I had a problem with the billet hats that I ordered from Westcott as well. Same story. Went round and round with emails, texts, calls. Finally got it figured out but cost me an extra $600 for installation since the installer had to take everything apart twice.

Wow. Why are all these shops operated like this. This is insane.

Here are the photos of the bracket. The front one (original from last year) sits slightly higher-if I remember correctly. So right to now I have the original that I ordered a front and modified bracket on the rear. The only advantage is if I ever take off the molle panels I still have the original brackets that would fit on the low profile roof rack.

Good lord I thought they supposed to be all that and here I’m spending about 500 bucks with external molle no brand name and it is spectacular, solid rack and molle systems. Do they even test these parts before putting them on sale or just deal with later mentality?

What was the website you found these on? Yeah, Westcott makes a great product but they need work on their customer service. I’m happy with their product, quality metal, perfect welds, real top notch ish when they finally get it right.

A friend from Australia hook me up with all mods. I live in California so the cost savings are day and night. In fact all my mods cost me less than 3G.
