I am at the Toyota dealer right now and having oil, filter and rotation done. I read somewhere online that after the totation, they have to recalibrate the TPMS system so the tire pressure display is accurate and knows which position each tire is in (front, left, rear right, ect.)
I ask the service advisor if they do the recalibration and he said no. He then asked one of the senior techs and he said itās automatic. He said they adjust to the new on the vehicle.
I need to know if they are correct? When I get home, I will deflate a tire and make sure it shows correctly.
In my little mind, it seems that you would need to associate a location on the vehicle to display it correctly. If not, it could show the front left low yet it could be any other location.
thanks
