5K on my pro, love it. Not a single problem with it. Sure, there’s some refinements I’d lIke, but nothing remotely an issue.

Going on six months of ownership and 5700 miles. Zero issues. 22.1 mpg overall average. We really like the hybrid system.

every model/trim of any manufacturer will have issues, toyota is not immune.

just you have better overall odds of getting a vehicle that doesnt have issues.

but i have seen some toyota's not make it 1000 miles before the owner dumped it or lemon'd it and went to another brand.

cough new tacoma cough

Bought as soon as the dealer was ready to deliver on 7/31/25 (I haven't looked at the actual build date but maybe the end of June '25). 1700 miles so far with no brake noise as others have reported.

Dislikes? Hopefully a personal-problem-only but I can't consistent operate the kick-to-open/close tailgate. Sometimes I get it on the first try, other times I can't do it at all and resort to using the keyfob button.

I'd prefer more range. Compared to my '17 Tacoma Offroad, I think I'm down ~60 miles; maybe 370 vs. 310 miles after a fill-up. Even so, 310 miles is enough for my needs to get me where I need to go (San Jose CA to Sparks NV).

I do like the 300+ hp and 400+ torque during my 7000foot+ altitude freeway trips during my driving to Nevada.

There are a lot of new features to my and I'm still learning and getting used to how to use them or turn on & off. Examples are the cruise control modes, regular vs active; and the parking brake "Hold" feature. I still don't know if or how to get an MPG for individual trips. Apparently I've got an 18mpg average from zero to 1700 miles. Maybe I'll read more of that giant owners' manual later today if I remember to do so.

I was quite happy to find a cargo cover for only $72 delivered via Amazon. I thought I was going to have to spend ~$200, while a quick online search had many priced at $100+ to as high as $1000 before tax/shipping.

I like how my iPhone 13 in its case can be wirelessly charged in the '25 4Runner while it wouldn't charge wirelessly in my '17 Tacoma unless I removed the phone from its case.

I like the surround cameras as I use them daily to squeeze into my tight garage or driveway.

The last thing which comes to mind is I wish the steering wheel could be adjusted a bit higher (rather than lowering my seat) so I can better view the display.

There are a lot of new features to my and I'm still learning and getting used to how to use them or turn on & off. Examples are the cruise control modes, regular vs active;
active = radar (it defaults to this cruise mode when you turn on your vehicle)
regular = constant (you have to push up on the toggle twice to get into regular mode)

and the parking brake "Hold" feature. I still don't know if or how to get an MPG for individual trips. Apparently I've got an 18mpg average from zero to 1700 miles. Maybe I'll read more of that giant owners' manual later today if I remember to do so.
you can modify the side pods to show different trip mpg and stats, just use the left/right arrow after getting into edit mode for the center pod. you may have to turn on those options with a check box so they show up in the scrolling list of mini screens in the side pods

I like how my iPhone 13 in its case can be wirelessly charged in the '25 4Runner while it wouldn't charge wirelessly in my '17 Tacoma unless I removed the phone from its case.
the usb ports to the right are fast charging ports vs the wireless pad, if you look closely you can see a sticker with the wattage output of those ports

edit : also update your vehicle list, shows your 4R still pending 7/25

What no one is telling you is that the seat belt gets wedged between the driver seat and the wall or whatever......Its the most annoying thing I could possibly imagine, next to the door chime that goes off when you close any door while the engine is running ( annoying you and the neighbors)
Also something is wrong with the rear lift gate, it tried to shut on me while in there working on stuff , and it tried to crush me because apparently theres no resistance sensor .

This sounds like a "in your own very specific case" instance.

The seat belt thing is an operator issue, or a defect in your belt retraction mechanism.

The chimes can be turned off.

The rear hatch, when the window is down, does not have much in the way of resistance to coming down. Fix, open the hatch with the glass up...

I don't expect them to be perfect, I just want to know what to expect. Maybe I got a little spoiled with my Tundra almost 100,000 on the odo and other than routine maintenance I have spent less than $4000 on odd stuff going wrong.
$4k on stuff going wrong is not good. I keep vehicles till about 150-250k and never spend that much on things going wrong. I expect only recommended maintenance costs up to 150K

My only complaint is the engine noise(but not the turbo noises, i love it) i try to buy a oem hood insulation but it cost too much and i don't know if the aftermarket hood insulation in amazon makes any difference
