Putting an iron man lift on, may have been the first problem.
1. absolutely need an alignment.
2. Rebalancing tire/wheels
3. Never had a “needle” bearing issue on any of my 4 runners, only on a Tacoma I had, but that was a bad differential design.
good luck 👍
I had the same thing happen when getting the allignment done after a lift. He explained it to me, something about the electronic steering it trying to correct itself? Anyway, to much tech for me...
He figured it out and all has been well.
Hopefully they get it all figured out.
“Did you keep the OEM Spring Insulator in place”
yes of course
Here’s what the toytec looked like next to the old man emu’s I replaced them with
I’m curious why you need new upper control arms?
If you are not lifting the rear end, then just stick with the OEM rear springs.
Whatever you do, don’t make the mistake I did and by toy tech rear springs, they were creaking badly. $250 down the drain, as I just threw them in the garbage yesterday.
I have OME 3344`s on the way. Hopefully that will solve the creaking, and the stiffer rear.
Heres a new plan for the coilovers:
I have a 1/4" steel spacer that I could install that should give me 1/2" lift to make up for me lowering the preload 1/4" so I dont lose any height. This wont affect...
yes it absolutely could and I do have a fox wrench to adjust the preload collar. Really didn’t want to lose the front height though.
I may try it however.
I really, really dislike the way the rear seats fold down. Sleeping in the back is a lot more uncomfortable then previous generations.
I disabled the parking brake assist, and I hate that it reminds me of this every time I start the engine.
I also dislike the way the engine sounds at idle going...
Yes, Of Course I did.
As for the tires, they were on there with the factory Bilsteins so I would definitely notice if the ride was better.
This was Just a warning to others. They dont ride better than the stock on an ORP.
I`ll find something else after a while.
I did get the standard tune for both the front and the rear. I can’t remember the part numbers off the top of my head, but I did check them when delivered.
I’ll just suck it up for right now, and wait to see what Toyota comes up with.
Yes the E loads suck. I hate them but theres not to many...
I think a 0 offset with 275`s will rub. I had 275`s on a 25 offset( trd pro wheels) with a 2" RC spacer and I didnt notice any rubbing but it was very close.
Consider a wheel with 25 to 35 offset. 285`s will probably rub with any offset. Dont de-value your ride by cutting anything in the front.
Because I wanted a suspension lift with no spacers, and Fox has always had a great reputation for a good ride. In hindsight , I should have stuck with the bilsteins, and waited until Toyota comes out with a kit. Another option would have been to get the OME kit which users seem to have good...
Vehicle: 2025 ORP , 275 70 18`s GY Wrangler ultra terrains E load @ 34-35 PSI
Now, The ride is no better, if not, worse than the factory external reservior Bilstiens, Front & rear. So, just letting you know if you are thinking of going this route.
The front lifted nearly 2-3/4 inches which is...
I installed the new Fox 2.5 Performance Series on the 25 orp . They feel very much like the stock Bilsteins, maybe even a bit stiffer.
Need more off road time at high speed for a little more opinion on them.
