The rear end of the 4Runner holds on to so much dirt. 🫣

Every time I wash it after getting all dusty off road, the rear wiper and hatch release drip muddy water long after the rest of the vehicle is running clear. Crazy how much gets stuck up there.

I’ve noticed this as well. The fenders on the rear doors hold a lot of dirt and mud too. Make certain to open them at some point to clean that area.

I figure the inside of the rear hatch is filling with dust. I’m planning on hooking up a shop vac to try and extract some of it. There’s a couple small removable hatches on the bottom edge that should make for a decent vacuum port.

MĆŖme constat, ma rue est en gravier/sable et il s’accumule rapidement de la poussiĆØre dans le bas de la vitre que je n’ose ouvrir de peur de la grafigner.

The thing is literally impossible to dry properly -- no matter how thorough you are, the second you drive off water drips from every windowsill, the mirrors, the roof rack, rear spoiler, wipers, etc. I have to drive for ~5 minutes and then get out and dry certain spots again or else I have big drip lines all over the place. And I'm not even that anal, I think 4Runners are meant to be dirty. But it's still a bizarre amount of drips.

Ha! I go around it about 2-3 times, and I think to myself, ā€œGosh, I know I just dried that spot!ā€ šŸ˜‚

A leaf blower before you do the first towel dry helps a lot when it comes to getting all the water out of the cracks. But yeah in the back it’s always dirty water you’re blowing out. 🤣

Yeah I wash it on the slanted driveway (decent slope) and still get several drops of dirty water when I drive off the next day :ROFLMAO:. I suspect some stays on the roof maybe??
