FITCAMX dash cam install - step by step how-to DIY (on 2025+ 4runner 6th gen)

It's here at its installed....................FITCAMX 2025 4Runner

Install time 10minutes and neatly cabled
I chose the CLP filter and the oem dash cam plug in from FITCAMX

Step 1. Remove Overhead Console. (One Swift Pull Down the front near windshield)

Locate the White OEM Dash Cam Plug.

Plug in the optional FITCAMX power cable.

Route the power through the headliner toward the mirror.

Step 3. Remove OEM Mirror Housing and remove the two red clips and relocate the to the FITCAMX housing.

Step 4. Slide the FITCAMX housing into place and listen for the Click!

Step 5. Connect the power cables togethers.

And get out there and start recording your Off Road Adventures...... FITCAMX

i don’t think i understand your post; is it that you’ve received an early version (specific for 6th gen’s) to test before they are released to the public?
or that you’ve confirmed with the company that they’re working on one specific to the 6th gen’s?
or maybe something else i’m missing entirely?

your link above takes me to their websites main landing page, not to a specific version specific to the 6th gen 4 runner.

i reached out FitCamX on july 13 and received the following message:

Hello, we have borrowed the rearview mirror cover of this model for scanning. 3D scanning takes a week, and the camera mold opening takes about three months. Once the camera mold opening is completed, we will email you.

yeah, i've been running them on 4 of my other vehicles for the past few years and they're always great! been waiting (sometimes patiently) for the unit for the 6th gen to arrive!
