How has the dealership been? Is it the dealership you bought it from? IF they are good and they are trying hard to solve this I would ask if they could put a different set of tires and wheels on it and let their tech drive it. That way they could confirm or rule out the tires/wheels.

Mounting new tires isn't really an option just for testing. They no longer would be 'new' and there's a lot of time involved balancing them. But a known good set off another 4runner (I assume the Tacoma wheels would fit).

Another test you could do would be to have someone with a camera record each wheel by sticking out the rear door windows as you're driving. See if something unusual is happening. A bad rotor or spindle wouldn't be picked up by balancing the tires.

If the tire is an E load range and thick side walls, the tires might need some more PSI. Those tires have a maximum PSI of 80. I ran 42 PSI cold (middle of the night cold) in my E load 18" Wildpeak AT4s and Yokohama Geolandar GO15 tires on a Tundra to eliminate the wobble from 50-60 mph. In extreme heat of 95º on the highway they only expanded to around 50 PSI plus or minus. BUT, the wobble was gone. It took having them balanced and everything all over town until a Toyota dealer master tech recommended that I try more PSI a little at a time until perfect. This is just typical of ten ply E load tires. NOTE: I have had KO2s that could never be balanced which is why I don't purchase them.

On my 25 4Runner I run 275/70/17 C load range Wildpeak AT4 tires with 6-ply side walls. They have no issues at OE tire pressure. After the Yokohama Tire Purchase back in 2021 I buy all my tires at Discount Tire with certificates and get alignments at the Toyota Dealer. The certificates will save you if they can't get the tire balanced. They will work on it until they do or replace the tires for free. Great customer service.
Thank you for the advice......much appreciated.....will definitelly try increasing the tire pressure and see if that fixes the issue. Would be a lot cheaper than new tires.
And I agree on the certs from Discount Tire.

Not the same dealership I bought it from. The one I bought it from is 100 miles away, and they did the initial assessment when I went in to install running boards, and said "thats just how it is". The dealership today is local and they were happy to balance and align for no cost, but were unwilling to go much further after the alignment came in within limits. I suggested that maybe something was loose in the suspension but the tech said he checked the suspension as well, and made sure everything was torqued properly........so I'm going to try playing with the tire pressures as suggested by 828findadventure and see how it goes.
Good idea on using a camera (on a stick :) ) to record and see how the wheels are behaving at speed.

It sounds to me that you need an alignment. I have this model and I do not have this wheel vibration you do.

Dealer checked alignment and said it was all green and within specs. After reading a similar post with the same problem in another 4Runner forum, the issue was fixed when their dealer replaced all four tires with Toyo “retail” spec not oem tires. The dealer then supposedly sent the tires back to Toyo under a warranty claim. So I suspect I’m a victim of the oem tire lottery.
I reported the issue and proposed solution to Toyota HQ and they have asked my local dealer to follow up with me and sort it out. I received a call from the customer service manager at the dealership within hours of calling Toyota, but still waiting to hear from the service manager.

Toyo's that came on my Pro had very soft sidewalls. I can see if their a little out of spec it'd give you wobble.

Toyota dropped the ball on those tires.

I’ve had no problems with the tires that came on my TRD pro. I’m sorry you had to buy new tires though, I’d be mad.

Hi all—First post here. I’ve noticed the same issue of jitter at 70mph. Just back from a 700 mile trip with my new trd or prem. Interstate speed is the only time I’ve noticed it. It seems to be coming from the rear tires. Going to check w dealer this week as my new 4Runner has only 1200 miles on it. Will update here on dealer feedback in VA.

I have noticed the vibration on my June built 2025 TRD PRO as soon I reach around 70+ mph. I plan on taking it into the dealership I purchased it from and letting them know about this issue. I am aware of the cheaper spec Toyo tires and even pointed this out to my dealership when purchasing it. They seemed to have "no idea" that Toyota puts on cheaper spec tires with less tread depth from the factory 🤔??? I plan on taking it to my local tire shop that has road force ballancers afterwards if the Toyota Dealership is unable to correct the issue.
I will request that they conduct a 4 tire balance and alignment but we all know that they will either say that it's normal with that size All Terain tires or say they could not replicate the issue during a test drive. I am just hoping that they do not charge me for the service if they perform an alighment and tire balance. I will report back after my visit with the results. It's a shame that a new $70K+ suv has this a vibration on the highway but hopefully this will correct it. My 2023 Ford Bronco Wildtrak with factory 35" Goodyear tires has never had this issue. It has tracked straight and been vibration free for 20K miles with tire rotations every 5k miles.

Did you measure the tread depth on your new dealership replaced tires? I measured my Toyo tires the day I brought it home with 20 miles on them and they were at 9.5 / 32nds.

Two weeks ago at a Toyota dealer, a master tech approved changing two of the four tires, saying they were outside of the road-balance specs and that the new tires would fix everything. Well I drove for the weekend after and the vibration was lessened but still there. So I contacted them again and I am supposed to return to the dealership and take the master tech for a drive so he can experience it. The new tires were the same OEM spec at 9.5/32nds.
I watched a TRD Pro POV review video on Youtube and the reviewer was driving at speeds above 70mph on the highway and you could see that he didnt have any wheel vibration, so I am convinced it's the tires.

I would appear that Toyota is outfitting these trucks with Toyo Open Country A/T III GA tires which should have 10.1/32" tread depth @ $330.00 a tire from Tire Rack
The tire that is also availble for us to purchase is a Toyo Open Country A/T III with 13.4/32" @ $296.00 a tire from Tire Rack.

So far I got two of the tires changed under warranty....so I didnt have to buy them myself.
Looks like they'll be changing the other two as well since the problem hasnt been fixed.

One correction: the OEM tires are Load Range E.....not SL.

One correction: the OEM tires are Load Range E.....not SL.
The tires that come standard on the 2025 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro are Standard Load (SL), not Load Range E. Specifically, they are typically Toyo Open Country A/T III GA tires in the size 265/70R17, according to a 4Runner forum. While the TRD Pro is designed for off-roading, the tires are still typically SL-rated, not LT (Load Range E), for a balance of performance and comfort, according to a 4Runner forum.
