I posted earlier. Yes the dealer replaced the pads and turned the rotors. They said it was excessmetal in the pads.
If they replaced with the same OEM pads, how do they know the same parts don't have excess metal?

Just an FYI - 2025 TRD Pro with only 400 miles and what a shocker! No squealing!! Maybe it will change when temp's get cooler in a few months but based on my past 2 Tundra's and this thread, was REALLY worried the squealing would always "just be there" with no dealer fix recommended. This tells me it's gotta be something from the factory that there are doing/missing and Toyota just wants to bury their heads vs. dealing with the issue.

Nobody so far with a trd pro or trail hunter has posted have any issue. It’s only for us non rich folk who can’t afford the highest trim. They have a tsb now but of course what a fucking shocker on back order….

Loud like the videos we have posted? If so man you’re the only one to mention it. Regardless we got a tsb now. It’s better than nothing. So stupid 200 years brakes have been on cars and we have to hear this shit.

What's a tsb? I assume they're acknowledging the problem and replacing something?

It’s not a recall but I think technical service bulletin. Someone posted in the fb channel the number. My dealer already ordered the parts to fix this but it’s on back order. It’s new pads, and like 2 other parts I think no rotors though.

TRD PRO, just started at 1800 miles, very minor and brief but it’s a start. Already contacted dealer about fix under TSB.

I have a trailhunter, have the squealing brakes (started periodically around 1,500 miles, now horrible at 3,500) and a shaking/shuttering in the steering column.

Getting the brakes fixed via the TSB, and the dealership is doing tests on Thursday (request from Toyota corporate) to determine the cause and fix for the steering column issue. There was one person with an SR5 that wrote about the steering column issue, the dealership is using that as a starting point (I believe that person had the column completely replaced).

Really appreciate the 4Runner community and the open dialogue we all have about issues and fixes.

Some Platinums have reported the issue and there are some TRD Pros as well. It’s a pretty universal issue for a period of production time.

I had a short squeal once after driving in heavy rain but definitely keeping my ears open.
