Do you think the add on door guards will prevent door dings? Anyone have pics of them installed on a 6th Gen.?

I got them on my . You cant see them if I take a picture. They will protect the edges of your car. But will still ding another vehicle. I don’t know if they make the horizontal door ding strip

Thanks for the reply, I guess I should’ve said the adhesive color coded body moldings that run parallel to the ground on the lower edge of the doors.

Okay... I considered the body side moldings, but concluded that they cluttered the clean look of the sides the truck. I think one is always subject to dings from varying heights, if you choose tight parking.

Going with a full body XPEL PPF to prevent such occurrences.

Here's some real life pics of the body side moldings on a couple of Underground 2025 4Runners

I ordered my Trailhunter with them. I think that they do prevent shopping carts from dinging the door. I don't have the truck yet.

Are these body side moldings easy to install?

One of my employees installed them for me and I think as long as you take your time when installing and "measure twice, so you can stick once" and use blue painters tape to make where they need to be placed, I think you'll be fine. Again, just take your time, because once they're stuck to your door, thats it, they're stuck!!

Good luck! I also think they look really good on my TRD Pro.

My method against door dings, proven effective many times over, is to park far from everybody else. And, if necessary, park in the middle of two spots so no one can park beside you.

I installed them on my 2025 TRD Pro in Underground grey color and think the look great. Don't know if they'll prevent door dings, but after 4 months, I don't have any. I also like to walk in a parking lot si I tend park far away from most cars.

Do you have a part number for the underground ones?

My blue sr5 came with them and I think I'm going to peel them off. I didn't order them and I generally hate tacked-on gewgaws like that. If it really provides some protection then it's ok because it's useful, but I'm not convinced it provides any meaningful protection.
