Some Trailhunter owners like their snorkel air intake sound and some don't (here's what it sounds like on video), but if you find that you don't like it on your future 4Runner Trailhunter, here's a DIY solution to quieting the snorkel sound:

By Dunder on Tacoma4g :

First, let me say the sound the snorkel makes is a blast. Second, my wife has the completely opposite opinion. She hates loud cars. Naturally, the snorkel on her side of the truck is too much for her. I figure I owe her one since I bought a new car and truck for myself this year. So I decided to see what can be done.
The first option has already been posted elsewhere. Just remove the rubber cap on the lower front of the air filter box. It should be the first pic below. The was some snorkel noise reduction, but not enough.
The second attempt was to disconnect the snorkel from the air box. The air filter box fits snugly, but it’s only pressed onto the snorkel inlet. To remove the snorkel inlet, there are two bolts to be removed, and then squeeze it and pull forward to remove. Maybe it’s a little quieter, but not much. It’s the second pic.
My third effort was to insert a shop sponge into the snorkel cavity. I still can hear snorkel sucking air during hard acceleration, but that’s about it. I think this is a good compromise for noise. BTW, the sponge did not get sucked out of the cavity. The sponge is pic three.
The fourth step was to cover the air box inlet near the snorkel. It’s not a perfect fit, but the rubber cap in step one fits well enough. At this point the snorkel is silent. See pic four.
Now the final step will be a test drive with my wife tomorrow to see if the sponge is enough or do I need to use the rubber cap.

I'll just copy this post over from @Old Spice's post:

This Trailhunter Tacoma gives us a preview of how the 2025 4Runner Trailhunter Hybrid will sound like -- engine, exhaust and snorkel during start up, revs and acceleration.

You can hear the turbo blow off valve (BOV) on acceleration. Video is shot with windows down.

Anyone know if a company will create a by pass for the snorkel? Maybe something that you can open hood, move a selector to divert intake to be more like normal engine for in town use. I haven't driven one yet, but every video I hear that pseudo-blender sound on Trail Hunter, seems like that may be an issue for me. Really want TrailHunter in the emerald green or something closer to Olive if ever offered but this really seems like a show stopper for me.

I canceled my order on a trailhunter because of that. The wife nixed it. I also wasn’t in favor of the interior color. So I opted for a Trd off-road premium max instead. I’ll just try building it up like the trailhunter.
I' ve been on wait for an Everest TRD OR premium max, and my dealer told me last week they did not get an allocation for one, but they got a bonus Trailhunter in Everest......I thought a bit about it and decided to meet up this weekend and test drive a Taco trailhunter.....Never the less my wife wasn't a big fan of the Turbo noises, but was so amazed about everything else that it got a "I guess i could live with that" green light so......
I self upgraded "twice" so I'm fist in line when it arrived in May!

To be honest I test drove a Taco Trailhunter this weekend and it was a bit louder than I anticipated, but it sure made me smile for good!

Toyota really screwed the pooch on the interior color option for the TH. It could have been so much better had they simply offered block, saddle or the ugly AF green/grey/yellow garbage.

This right here is the specific reason we didnt purchase the Trailhunter. I wasnt a fan of the wheels, but could change those more easily than an entire interior.
