Went 5% ceramic tint all around, Side and back are pitch black because they already have privacy glass, I think it looks amazing. Went with a clear windshield tint to protect the dash and keep it cool all around!

If you are in the OC area I recommend going to Tint Crew in Buena Park!

May I ask how much did it cost you? How long did it take? I'm in the Los Angeles area.
Is 5% too dark at night driving?

Thanks.

with the front windshield it was $680 that’s with 88% IR protection 100% ceramic. They have cheaper options but the IR rating lowers which is what keeps the heat out.

Without windshield it would have been $450 got a cash discount.

I can see just fine at night and specially with all the camera angles parking is a breeze.

That looks really good! I'd like to do that, but in my state, they won't let you do 5% all around. I'm sure I could find some tint dealer that would probably do it, but then I run the risk of a ticket. Does your state allow 5% or are you just taking the risk? I mean if you get a ticket, it's not a huge fine and the tint can come off. Just curious. I'd love to do 5% tint, but doubt I could get away with it too long.

In California, I believe it has to be 70% or higher for front windows. Can it be removed easily if one gets a fix-it ticket?

I live in California! OF COURSE ITS ILLEGAL lol. But they usually don’t mess with you and if they do it’s just a fix it ticket.

I think it looks awesome but I would be worried that it would give the police an extra reason to pull you over. Here in Virginia I believe they cannot stop you just for that but if you do make a minor traffic infraction that they may otherwise ignore, with the excessively dark tint up front it is an officer safety issue that some take a bit more seriously than others. That said, I've had vehicles with dark tint all the way around with no issues, other than me worrying that I was asking for trouble. But again, it looks great and you will most likely never have any issues with "the man."

I would be more worried about insurance coverage if you get into an accident at night. Lawsuits happen all the time, windshield visibilty is important.

Windshield is clear. Just UV and IR protection

What percentage is your driver & front passenger windows at?
How well do you see through it at night?

I'm trying to decide how dark to make mine. I have so-so vision also & am concerned about seeing out of the driver & front passenger windows at night if I tint it below 30% total. I'm also trying to decide on how dark to go on my windshield without it being a night driving safety issue. I can go as dark as I want because I have a medical release from my Dermatologist exempting me from Texas' vehicle window tint law but I also don't want it so dark I can't see well though the tints at night.
