Only had this TRD Pro for 2 weeks, and now my Apple CarPlay won't connect. Not only that, but the stupid Toyota App keeps asking me to connect and I agree, and it just keeps popping up. Ridiculous that this $80k car cannot connect to my phone while every single car I rent ( I do a lot of work travel and always rent) I connect to Apple CarPlay seamlessly. Anyone else experiencing issues or any advice? I've disconnected completely and re-paired the phone and done everything else I can think of and still will not connect.

First: Delete Toyota app and install Lexus app. Does the same, less bugs.
Second: Almost always phone related. Restart phone, reconnect.

Agree, used to rent cars for work and never had issues like I have with this 4R. Has anyone ever had a software update. Seems like with all the complaints I see Toyota would try and fix some of these issues.

Hard Wired or WiFi connect from phone to car?

Do you happen to be using the car's built-in hotspot? If so, you cannot connect to it and use wireless carplay, you need to use a wire (generally more reliable anyways).

CarPlay is Apple software, not Toyota.

It’s not the Toyota app, you most likely have some setting that conflicts when it tries to connect. It was happening to my wife’s Sienna she somehow had 2 iPhone profiles on the Sienna and it wasn’t connecting right. Once deleted and repaired it’s been working right.
