Does he use Milestar?
most Moab recovery teams, using fairly standard wheels that'll fit lifted 4runners, gravitate toward BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM3 tires because they are simply the best on dust, mud, dirt, rock, sandstone...in severe use out in the sticks.

Ya that guys been swearing by the milestar MT on his 2 smaller trucks he recovers with. The big wrecker is running stuff bigger then milestar offers. I considered some but couldnt get them from reputable sellers with a warranty so i ended up with G3s last month.

There are some excellent video’s on YouTube that show you why you should not use off brand tires. Some rather eye opening information. I can save you the time and just say “Don’t do it”. It’s your money and safety, however.

You haven’t been on G3s that long, but how do you like them?

What makes you think your Canadian tires are any better?
Bridgestone is a Tier 1 auto supplier to Toyota, in addition to being the technical partner and OE supplier to Ferrari.

They're also the OEM tire on 787s and A380s.

Milestar is made for cheap skates at Discount Tire who might not buy Venom or Lexani tires.

Milestars are great for rigs that stay offroad, and destroy tires in a year. they are cheap and not expected to last anyway, so for someone who lives in 4wd and bony terrain, they work good enough.

they suck for a daily driver doing city and highway duty...'cuz they are made cheaply and lack engineering refinements and materials advancements other tires have...keeping the costs down, but also leading to short life and bad behaviors.

well hey... what do you know, this morning driving to work I am on an off ramp,
and look over to my side, and there is a contractor Silverado pickup truck wearing milestars. I could see visible scalloping and feathering. NOW this could mean a million things not related to the tire itself (bad suspension, bad driving, bad pressure, abuse...) just saying I seen it ...make your own conclusions

but gosh darn diggity someone is using them on a work truck.

The grip is phenomenal dry and wet, slight hum on the highway but nothing annoying. Mpg got smacked by about 3-4 mpg over the factory style at4w but i did go down to 17s 285. Ride is better, good sidewalls

I think it’s a little funny to call one tire junk over another. I could pull a review and a video on every single top 10 off road tire with someone saying why it’s not great, why it sucked and another saying why it was great. The benefit of this forum is to ask questions and get answers, without judgement, based on actual experience. Next time, bring receipts. Tell me exactly why they suck. If it’s not based on personal experience, then it ain’t worth much more than what I can read myself on the internet.
While I would not put Chinese tires on my ride, I absolutely agree with you that people need to be a little nicer. Its a 4 Runner forum guys, ease up.
