Hello! First post…
Recently picked up a 2025 Trailhunter and so far loving it. Is the JBL Bluetooth speaker supposed to be paired to the truck? Does it work with the built-in system or just pairs to a phone? I wasn’t I able to pair it to the truck, it gives me an error saying Pairng Interrupted.
Thanks so much in advance!

The one in my PRO works and seems to be a tad louder than the other front speakers

I haven’t driven much but I’m not sure it even seems to be part of the built in JBL system. I know it won’t pair Bluetooth to be used to play music from the truck if it’s popped out.
I have only seen one YouTube video and the woman was so vague it was useless.

In my ORP the speaker works as part of the sound system.

And just to be clear you can pop it out and listen to “truck music” from outside the truck?
that’s kinda what I was thinking the concept was.
Thanks!

I’m not sure about that. I connect it to my phone, not the truck.

The flex speaker auto works when you stick it into the dash you don’t need to connect it to the car. You do need to remove it from the dash and Bluetooth pair it your phone to use the speaker when it’s not plugged into the dash. It’s also very low when it’s in the dash you can hardly tell it’s in use

Thanks! I will try to listen more carefully.
I assumed I’d be able to pop it out and use it to play “truck music” while tailgating or whatever.
so basically it’s not another Bluetooth speaker that I can pair with phone. We also use JBL speakers in my family but I do t think this one can connect in Party Mode.

you can pair it with your phone you can’t have it connect to your phone and inserted into the dash at the same time. When I used it recently I pop out the speaker and then go to my Bluetooth on my phone and sync and take the speaker. If you want to pair it to your phone put the speaker in your hand and enable the Bluetooth setup on the speaker and your phone will find it. When you place it back into the dash your phone won’t use it but when you take it outdo the dash you gotta connect your phone back to it or least tell your phone to sync to the speaker

Thank you! I was able to pair to my phone. I was unsusre how it integrates with the truck.
My dealership kept the speakers out of the vehicles to prevent theft so I was almost thinking they gave me the wrong speaker and thats why it won’t pair with this particular vehicle.

I also thought I was missing the lantern/light on drivers side cubby.... I assume that was not part of this build.

Thanks.

That side light cubby is extra when they add on crossbars or step bars or whatever else they add in. The JBL speaker is part of the model line trim. You might have bought the side light and they didn’t give it to you. Check the bill or that window sticker I think it would show there on the side items

As far as I know, you cannot use your truck as a music source for the speaker when it is out of the dash. It has to be an external source, like your phone.

@Dead Horse THANK YOU!

I haven't really driven it much since I got. Everything here is covered in salt and ice, so I holding off for my new floor mats which I installed this morning! :)

Thanks!

When it docks to the car, it should charge and play music from the head unit. You can also take it out and use it as a blutooth speaker, that's all.
