Maybe Iβm just hard of hearing or something, but I swear I canβt hear any ESE in any drive mode on my TRD Pro. For it to be worthwhile, Iβd expect it to sound something like how Porsche has a switch that opens a vent to let muffler noise into the cab, but thatβs not fakeβ¦Disabled the fake engine sounds with my new Carista. I had assumed these weren't in use in Normal mode, which is the only mode I use, but the difference is noticeable. I can't believe they don't expose this option in the infotainment, because many users (including myself) see absolutely no point to it.
The way I can tell is switching between normal and sport when going up the hill @ 25mph towards home. Very noticeable difference in sound, kinda hilarious actually.Maybe Iβm just hard of hearing or something, but I swear I canβt hear any ESE in any drive mode on my TRD Pro. But, there is still some ESE in Normal mode even. This became very apparent once I totally disabled ESE!The way I can tell is switching between normal and sport when going up the hill @ 25mph towards home. Very noticeable difference in sound, kinda hilarious actually.
Looks really nice! What ditch lights are those and brackets?Maybe Iβm just hard of hearing or something, but I swear I canβt hear any ESE in any drive mode on my TRD Pro. Maybe...Not sure where you are though. Now I'm left with this "tire tower" in our garage. Anyone need some tires? Only 99 miles on four. Spare is undriven.

I have the same Toyo 275 E-load tires in 17in and really like them, but I didnβt get a 5th spare. How manageable is it to replace the spare and does it look weird at all when mounted? Just curious. For better endurance off-road, aired down, etc.
Removed: 5 OEM Falken Wildpeak A/T AT3W A SL-rated tires 265/70 R18
Installed: 5 Toyo Open Country A/T III E-rated tires LT275/70 R18
Toyos ride a little softer on road seams than the Falkens did. They're 10 pounds heavier, but this turbo 4-banger has plenty of pep to keep 'em rolling.
