Since I test drove the vehicle, brand new, I've noticed the throttle on my MAX is incredibly sensitive. Like so much so, I'm confused when I read all these threads about the vehicle having a mediocre throttle response. From my experience, it feels like someone installed a throttle commander and put it to 100%. If I'm at a stop, it throws me back into my seat nearly every time I leave a stop light. With slight rain I lost traction multiple times making right turns at low speed.

Am I crazy? I don't have a lead foot. It just feels super aggressive. I've had the 4runner since new, so I don't think anything was installed on it. Just looking for someone else who has the same experience. I'm also in eco-mode, which makes it even more boggling that the throttle curve seems to be 0 to 100 within about 1000 RPMS. I was going to get a tune and it mentions a more responsive throttle, and I'm actually looking for something to make the throttle response SOFTER.

Anyone? Am I alone in this one?

I came from a Ram 2500 6.4L and traded it for my 4Runner, I was blown away at how snappy and torquey it is. I’ve also owned many V6 Tacoma’s and a 5.7L Tundra but this 2.4L hybrid really takes the cake!

I actually wish it would chill out a bit. Reassuring though hearing it's not just me. I feel like the torque curve is a completely vertical line. lol

I had the iforce max and my girlfriend didnt like to drive it, she said the throttle was too touchy, and I agreed. Eco, normal, sport didnt make a difference. Traded it in for the gas and while it has less torque it feels way less touchy from a stop.
