I took a sawzall to the end of my exhaust pipe and bolted on the black chrome stainless Toyota factory tip. Install was very easy and it bolted on with the 1” of mounting space I left. It has the factory look I was going for.

Does your spare tire not fit up there anymore with that on?

I like it and am considering doing the same.

Is this the part number for the exhaust tip you used?

PT932-89180-02

When I input that number, it does not come up as a match for my 25 Pro. But yours is a Pro - did you have any difficulty getting it to fit? (Worried about pipe diameter.)

Yes that is it.
Any increase in exhaust fumes getting into the cabin now? I think I will leave the OEM in place :)
No nothing different that i can te

Yes it still fits, I just hate the way it looks hanging down and off centered. I will bring it with me if I have a long road trip. No need for it with my daily drive now that I have 35” tires in D load.

the only problem i see is long term durability of the black color. since toyota uses the existing exhaust to create a double wall barrier to the painted slip on version, the paint my not last.

typically you slide the new tip on fully so the oem exhaust is hitting the outer ring on the new slide on exhaust tip.

That is the correct part number. It has the Toyota logo on the top. The 6Gen 4Runner TRD PRO has a larger pipe so I did not use the adapter plates that it came with. It slid on perfectly and I aligned the nut that tightens it at the top so it was not noticable.

I paid $78 from Toyota and it is a factory part. It is heavy and thick walled and appears to have a very good finish. I would have never installed any of the cheap Amazon or Ebay black tips that are all over the web. Hopefully it last. I didn't want it to stick out from the back. I wanted a slightly tucked tip that should not ever scrape and it is only approximately 8" shorter than the factory pipe.

I like the look. I was a little nervous because when you enter the part number, it says it may not be a match for my TRD Pro but Billy has eased my mind some by saying it will fit. So....I ordered one. Got it for $71 with a $13 dollar shipping charge included in that $71. Could have saved $13 if I picked it up at the dealer, but went ahead and had it shipped to my home.

Coming to this forum is not good for my wallet, but I only feel a little bit bad about it.

For all TRD Pro owners who are interested in adding the black chrome exhaust tip (Part number PT932-89180-02), I can confirm what BillyG4Runner6G has already said...it does fit perfectly over the top of the current exhaust pipe. A two-minute install for a mechanical noob like me today.

I don't know why in the Toyota parts system, it says it 'may not be a match' for a TRD Pro. It's a perfect match. If that is holding you back and you are a TRD Pro owner, just order it.

There was some debate on a much earlier thread that this part was supposed to come standard on a TRD Pro. Mine did not have it. Oh, well. Just a little mod that most people won't notice, but I will and that's what's most important.

Are you still banging around in that bucket, wishing it was all smooth and polished and beautiful like a Platinum? I'm not convinced that a pretty tip can ease the pain you feel deep inside. Hope all is well in swamp land, I still want to get out there and mow down a couple of gators! Driving these things doesn't get old, you notice that?

Man.....are you ever going to put on a real set of proper AT tires on that thing or are you just going to go city-slicker style with those street tires you have on? I would invite you to trade up to a Pro, but I don't know if you would be able to handle losing your heated rear seats and your rain sensing wipers. Might be too much of a jump. If you're going to try and run with the big dogs down here in Florida, you're going to need all of those fancy off-road capabilities that I have on my Pro! Cause Florida is known as an off-roaders paradise with all of our crazy trails. I don't know if your Rav4, excuse me your Platinum, can cut it down here!

Honeymoon phase is still going strong. Good to hear from you. I don't see you as much on the forum. Hope all is well, and yes, I still love your Platinum. That would be more practical for me, but my heart won out over my head on this one!
