Trailhunter ARB 3/4 Roof Rack Layout and Accessories

Hello! New Trailhunter owner here. How is everyone outfitting their stock 3/4 rack? In the past I have only used a Yakima basket rack and other racks like that. How is everyone laying out their rack and what accesories have you added to it. All I am thinking of is recovery boards, but I am curious to see everyone's 3/4 racks. The only thing I have added up there was the extra slat that should have been included from the factory!

Im using Harbor Freight apache rifle cases as low profile storage. Anything taller wont clear the garage. Theyre long enough to sit entirely on the rails when you have the 5th rail installed. Theyre also light enough for me to put on and take off when im using them

I plan to keep a shovel and other recovery stuff in there when packed with people

Thanks! I was actually in Harbor Freight today and looked at them... i think they were like $94.

As for mounting them i use t nut bolts and drilled holes into the case to mount them

Nope! Didnt get them! I still may and do something similar. The only other thing besides storage I was thinking was recovery boards which I can mount straight to the cases.
I had recovery boards(NOT MAXTRAX) on the roof of my Subaru and the sun faded them really bad.

The last cross bar on the ARB Trailhunter rack was intentionally left out to avoid interference with the shark fin antenna below the rear section. The rear cross section is actually made out of plastic as opposed to aluminum to avoid antenna interference. I am curious with your FM, Satellite, LTE, and 5G performance after adding that cross bar near the shark fin antenna.

I ported my XXL Thule ski box over from my old SUV. I keep a set of recovery boards and a kinetic rope in there at all times. Just drove 3 other friends for a big ski trip… loaded up the rear with gear + ski box full with 4 sets of skis and 2 boards. Only wish there were better foot holds to access the top (my old suv was better in this regard)

Yeah, obviously much more awkward then my Subaru. I had to hop on the wheel.

I have seen some of those t-bolts on Amazon too.

I like the t bolts over the t nuts because you’re notscrewing a bolt towards the rack. Plus you can use the bolt as a handle to insert and remove from the rack.

I used a t nut and it was a PITA to remove without a magnet
