2025 Toyota 4runner Roof Rack - ARB Platform 3/4 Length [Confirmed: same as Trailhunter roof rack] img_7245-

Original post:

I've got an Off-Road Premium on reserve that's getting built out with a "Roof Rack- ARB Platform 3/4 Length". I don't see this as an option for the ORP on Toyota's website and I can't find any info on it. Does anyone have a link or any specs on this rack? I plan to buy a rooftop tent after I get my 4Runner. I'm trying to see if I can work with this one or if I'd I'll need to replace it.

I'll probably bug the dealer about this, but thought I might find some info here.

The only time I've seen a reference to a 3/4 Length ARB Roof Rack is in the PPO options list of the TRD Pro:

https://www.4runner6g.com/forum/thr...en-colors-interiors-accessories-options.1852/

But haven't seen any photos of it yet. Sounds interesting though and ARB makes some quality stuff.

I just cared that it was an ORP trim, but I was planning to get a roof rack anyway. If this is the same one as the Pro, I'm guessing it's a good one. I find it kind of strange that Toyota is putting this on an ORP, but doesn't have an option to add it in their build tool (unless I missed it). Thanks for the link.

I believe it is the same one as the trail hunter. $1,700 is up there though. I saw a cool low-pro, full roof one from Westcott Designs, which can be ordered with a light bar cut out as well. Not sure how it would affect the sunroof though.

Here's a link to all of their 4Runner mods: https://westcottdesigns.net/2025-4runner-parts-accessories/

And build thread:
https://www.4runner6g.com/forum/thr...uild-complete-w-pre-collar-lift-kit-35s.2237/
The ORP I have on reserve doesn't have a sunroof. I kind of prefer this. I had an '03 limited/V8 that had a sunroof I never used. I was always worried it would break or start leaking, but I never had any issues with it. I like the full length rack in your links. If the one I'm getting doesn't work out for a roof top tent, I'll probably be looking at these again.

I noticed in the build list (or whatever it's called), the rack I'm getting is listed at $1,710. Now to learn more about the trailhunter rack (assuming it's the same one)....

My ETA delivery time is between the 13th and the 22nd and I have this same one on the build sheet, so if we can't find anything online confirming, we will know soon enough.

Found this: "the Trailhunter has a large roof rack designed by ARB that can support 700 pounds of static weight" (https://www.motortrend.com/reviews/2025-toyota-4runner-trailhunter-first-drive-review).

And this... "Roof load capacity: 770 lbs. static, 165 lbs. dynamic"... " the new 4Runner offers a 770-pound static roof load capacity, which is perfect for a rooftop tent (RTT). However, the roof’s dynamic capacity is only 165 pounds, which isn’t enough to carry many larger RTTs." (https://gearjunkie.com/motors/2025-toyota-4runner-first-drive-review).

I'm curious about the dimensions, which don't seem to be listed anywhere. There are roof top tents lighter than 165 pounds, but I'm not sure if the "3/4" length will be an issue. I'd be waiting until I have the 4Runner before ordering a roof top tent, but it will be good to know ahead of time if it will work. I'll bet I could probably sell the one it comes with if I upgrade to something else, so I'm not too worried in the long run.

My ETA isn't until the end of March ("Vehicle is in build phase... Estimated availability 03/20/25."). I assume that can change. I have no idea how accurate those availability estimates are. I assume "available" means at the dealership and I can come on down, finish the transaction, and drive it back that day. Hopefully it doesn't mean available to put on a boat to the US whenever!

My original date was 3/8, so moved up a few weeks, hope yours does as well.
