Ticking Sound Coming From Dash Near Windshield

2025 ORP from Canada having the exact same sound, started in May this year. I got my car in Jan and I'm already around 12K km's but my wife has a Land Cruiser, and she doesn't have the sound.

I'll also be bringing it into a dealership later this month.

Same exact issue- in the city its non-stop. On the highway its gone. I'll try the towel trick today and see if it makes a difference.

attached video of the sound. Seems to sound more like a rattle on the mic, but in person it sounds more like rubber rubbing on metal/glass.

This sounds very similar to the sound I was getting. For the towel trick, make sure the towel is thick enough to put adequate pressure on the hood and make sure it's placed over the weather stripping. I had to fold the towel over itself a few times.

Also, if your noise doesn't go away on the highway/after driving 15 minutes, it's likely a different issue the towel trick won't help with.

what I'd do is yank out the headunit and try to recreate it

the open headunit hole will let you know more about where
the sound is coming from if under dash/windshield area

it is a piece of cake to remove. pop trim, turn some bolts, comes out easy
