I stuffed a towel on top of the cowl as shown, but unfortunately didn't stop the sound for me. I may try again and line the entire length of the cowl. But I think you are spot on about it being related to the cowl. Just need to figure out where it is rubbing in my truck. May even be where the...
That does seem to make the most sense for the sound based on where it's coming from. I'll try the same trick to see if it fixes it, then need to find a better long term solution. But thank you for figuring this out if it does turn out to be the issue!
I see the same thing, usually mostly present right after taking car out for first time that day. The noise does seem to go away after driving for awhile. Didn't have the noise for first 3000 miles, now it comes and goes daily.
I haven’t figured it out yet. It may also have something to do with the rubber cowl cover right below the windshield. If you push that piece up and down, it sounds like it could be a possible source.
I went with the Nitto Recon Grapplers 285/70/17 in SL mainly because they were the lightest option I could find compared to the usual suspects. But very happy with them in looks and ride quality.
I'm having this same issue, almost sounds like a styrofoam cooler lid vibrating right under windshield. Funny thing is I installed a hood insulator before this started and was sure that was the noise, so I ripped it out. Turns out, that wasn't it at all. I'll check the hood prop and see if its...
I just had my Bilstein 5100s (font and rear) put on as well. The rear is stock height and I went with the 1.1" lift on the front. I'm still seeing about a 0.5" to 0.7" difference between front and rear, so you are probably safe to go to the 1.6" setting on the fronts if you want very close to...
Level looks good, where did you end up on the front clip position? I'm going to guess #4? Thanks!
Position #1: Stock
Position #2: .55 inch
Position #3: 1.1 inch
Position #4: 1.65 inch
Position #5: 2.2 inch
Position #6: 2.75 inch
