I see the same thing, usually mostly present right after taking car out for first time that day. The noise does seem to go away after driving for awhile. Didn't have the noise for first 3000 miles, now it comes and goes daily.ive noticed that the noise is only audible during the first few minutes of driving on local roads. when i get on the highway the noise goes away, even when getting back off the highway.
TSB's are issued by the manufacturer, we don't have control over that. I guess we can all complain to Toyota corporate? Might go to the dealer tomorrow but I doubt they can do anything. Rattles are like a death sentence because they are usually not diagnosableWhat would it take to get a TSB going?
Just did as well!filed complaint with NHTSA, everyone else please do the same so we can get sufficient complaint volume

That does seem to make the most sense for the sound based on where it's coming from. I'll try the same trick to see if it fixes it, then need to find a better long term solution. But thank you for figuring this out if it does turn out to be the issue! This was fixed by wedging a towel between the hood and the windshield cowl weather seal:
The towel is obviously not a permanent solution, it was just to diagnose the issue. That does seem to make the most sense for the sound based on where it's coming from. I stuffed a towel on top of the cowl as shown, but unfortunately didn't stop the sound for me. I may try again and line the entire length of the cowl. But I think you are spot on about it being related to the cowl. Just need to figure out where it is rubbing in my truck. May even be where the cowl seals up against the windshield itself. The issue is either caused by hood rattling against plastic cowl or cowl rattling against whatever's underneath it. All the towel does is put adequate pressure on the hood/weather stripping so the rattling stops.
