Anyone know the color wires I need to tap for a key on power and ground off of the rear view mirror? I have a TRD Premium with the homelink equipped mirror.
I don't want to use a dongar, just tap the two wires as I run a radar detector and a dash cam off them.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If you pull out the roof console (where the sunglass holder is) you can find a power outlet for the Toyota dash cam. Might be easier to pull power from here. You'll have both ignition switched power and constant power available.

You can even use the Subaru harness H501SSG010 if you want to plug into this connector rather than tapping into the wires.

I have an aftermarket dash cam which I have already joined together with my radar detector and just need a ignition power wire and ground wire to tap. I could use a test light to find the power to the pack of the mirror and the ground should be black.
Just was wondering if anyone else has tapped the back of the mirror plug and knew what color wires I needed.
From the sound of it I don't want to mess with removing that roof sunglass holder LOL.
Thank you!

if you use thin rubber gloves it will give
a lot more grip than trying to shred your bare fingers pulling it down
