Slightly slower acceleration after upgrading my tires (275/70/17), but not too noticeable overall. My speedometer is off by about ~2mph when on the freeway

I have a non-hybrid ORP with the same 8-speed auto as your SR5. I'm running 285/75R17 tires and I have not noticed any shifting issues. I also have not felt noticeable changes in acceleration, although I realize there is probably a marginal performance decrease due to the larger tire diameter.

How often are you seeing this behavior? Does it happen consistently, or only once in a while? Do you usually keep it in Normal drive mode, or do you use Eco or Sport?

Personally, if I were seeing the issue consistently, I would be concerned enough to have a Toyota dealership look at it, and I would also try the other drive modes to see whether the different shift point tuning changes how the transmission behaves.

I have a ReadyLIFT 2.5” SST Lift Kit and Method 703 17X8.5 6X5.5 +35 wheels. These were installed by a shop, but AFAIK they didn't cut anything. I haven't noticed any rubbing so far.
