My power running boards came with the truck. I bought it in transit so didn't have much choice because of 4runner availability at the time.
The ergonomics are not good. Stepping on them to climb in gets your shoulder or midsection even with the roof. Way too high.
From there you have to fold yourself ass first into the cabin trying not to land on the steering wheel.
Getting out you pretty much go sideways then step on the board and turn 90 degrees.
Designed for a semi truck IMO.
They did a good job on the rubber area, great non slip stuff on it.
Never had this issue with other trucks.
I would strongly suggest trying them out at a dealer before spending the money and time.
The good news is they worked flawlessly through a pretty crappy and cold winter.
