So the Limited also has a thinner OEM flare than the TRD OR models? The new limited and SR5 trims seem much more flexible to achieve an off road spec/look.
Can’t wait to see it with wheel and tires![]()

I don't think so...So the Limited also has a thinner OEM flare than the TRD OR models?
I was at the dealer today and looked - all the oem wheel flares are the same size on all trims below TRD Pro/TH.I don't think so...
I bought Griffin's old Limited Flares and put them on my Underground TRD OR to color match.
Seeing the 1.75 difference has me now second guessing purchasing the RC ones...
Has anyone priced the Pro Flares?
Thanks for the updateI was at the dealer today and looked - all the oem wheel flares are the same size on all trims below TRD Pro/TH.
Yes they are 1.75" wider than stock so probably almost an inch wider than the TRD Pro from my researchAre these wider than the ones on the TRD Pro?
So the TRD Pro flares are only .75” wider than the SR5 flares? Good to know.Yes they are 1.75" wider than stock so probably almost an inch wider than the TRD Pro from my research
Just Googled it... They are approximately 1" wider then the ones on the Pro. If you go RC I would go with a Zero Offset wheel. Just my opinion

- I found this info about tire size in a review on RC’s website. Might be helpful if deciding on which flares to buy: “Bought these for my 2025 4runner trd off road. Fit was perfect. No gaps. Changed wheels to 20x9 with+18 offset. Tires potruded about 1. 5 inches from stock with 33x11 tires. The new flares put the tires at the edge of the flare.”
to avoid rubbing or why do you recommend that? I’m about to buy new rims and tires and am not terribly familiar with offset so feel free to explain. I’m probably just going to take it to a good off-road shop and have them recommend a set up.Just Googled it... They are approximately 1" wider then the ones on the Pro. I guess I was assuming that if you were adding RC Flares it was because you are going fairly aggressive with a lift and wheel/tire combo otherwise the flares would way out past the tires.to avoid rubbing or why do you recommend that? Yeah that makes sense. I’m still running the stock rims and tires with the RC flares and it looks terrible. I wanted the gloss black color to replace the stock matte black. Im not a fan of the matte. So I’m adding the new rims and tires for looks and the added off road traction is just a bonus. It’s mostly my wife’s mall crawler but I do take it on some pretty easy going trails here in AZ too.I guess I was assuming that if you were adding RC Flares it was because you are going fairly aggressive with a lift and wheel/tire combo otherwise the flares would way out past the tires.
Offset is how much the wheel is pushed out or away from the hub/vehicle. Stock offset is +45-55. Most people run +25-35 on their new wheels so the "poke out" just a bit for a more aggressive look with stock fenders.
If you go +0 your wheels/tires will stick out past the fenders and also most likely rub unless you remove the crash bars and trim the inner fenders a bit.
make sense?
If you go with a +18-25 offset and not too big of a tire you should be ok and it would help fill the RC fenders without a lift. Good luckYeah that makes sense. Damn, they look so clean. When I bought my SR5, it was between underground or white and I went with white because I felt theI highly recommend them as well. Pretty painless install. I'm running mine with 18" TRD Pro rims and Nitto Terra G3 275/70/18. They look great and reduce the tire poke for sure. They are even wider that the stock TRD PRO fenders.

Looks greatI finally installed the @roughcountry fender flares to match the gloss black paint and so far I’m really happy with the look. I’ll eventually swap my tires out for some wider all terrain tires and the RC flares will look perfect with the wider tires (I’m just too cheap to waste perfectly good tires, lol).
The install wasn’t difficult, just time consuming learning the lessons of a first time installation. I made a video of the installation for any of you thinking about installing these yourself, hopefully it’ll save you some time. Total installation time was about 5-6 hours. The second set took me half the time of the first set (no surprise there). If you’ve installed something similar it may go faster. There were a few steps that RC left out of the instruction manual but nothing critical.
Let me know how your install goes if you install these also.
