I live in the PNW, so I've had the chance to experience this quite often in the last 11 months of ownership. I find that it's worst when you slow down -- which causes the water to move forward and then blow back. If you go fast, the water follows those channels towards the back of the hood and then off to the sides! So, long story short, just drive fast!

I live in the pnw where it rains pretty often. Haven’t had any particular issue keeping the windshield clear using wipers when needed

I have an SR5 for reference, but has anyone noticed that when driving in rain the hood channels it down to the grille which then hits air from moving causing it to spray all over the windshield? I live in a relatively hilly area so I am going downhill often which causes a torrent of rain to constantly spray up like a hose.
Yup, it startles me from time to time… What bothers me more is the vibration of the hood, as that is the next thing I start looking for when it happens… Wipers solve the first issue, but I have no idea how to sort out that trembling of the hood…
