If you’re mainly driving in the snow, I’d go with the Limited model since it has all-wheel drive (AWD). This is my first time using four-wheel drive (4WD), but I’ve had a bunch of AWD systems before, like 4Motion, Quattro, and Haldex. I didn’t realize you’re not supposed to use 4WD High on dry...
Hi guys,
Has anyone put this rack on a 2025 model? After a long wait, I finally got mine, but there’s no installation manual. They only sent me links for the Tacoma 2024 and the 5th Gen 4Runner. I found another install video for the 5th Gen, but there are some differences that are a bit...
Just now I noticed how low some places really are! Does anyone else duck every time they pass under those low ceiling beams in garages?

Funny thing, at the hotel, they had to park my car out front with all the Lambos and Ferraris. Totally forgot to look at the booking info about car height!
This is so annoying! I had my rear window down, and when I figured out I needed to open the trunk, I got into a really weird situation. The trunk opened a little bit - just enough to look unlocked, and moved only a few inches. That's it! I can't close the rear window, and all I can do with the...
I thought about returning it, but I’ve put too much time into mounting it to just give up now.
You're totally right! Every time I look to buy a dashcam, I head over to the Viofo site, hoping they’ll have something slimmer and without a screen. I really don’t get why they haven’t figured that...
This looks awesome! For me, how something looks is super important, but functionality and practicality are still key. I put my Thinkware cam on the passenger side, right in the "dotted" area, and the lens sticks out just a bit below. It doesn’t block my view at all.
But reaching for the...
That’s scary. I’m just waiting on the Cali Raised roof rack, and I really hope they include some instructions. didn't know that was a possibility. Do you think the problem might be with the floor panels?
I've had about 3-4 dashcams in the past, but I can't even remember their names since they were all those cheap $50 ones. I sold each one with the cars I had. The last one I kept was a Blueskysea B1W, just as a backup in case my previous one failed, but it never did before I sold the car, so now...
I waited about four weeks after buying my car in Georgia. They took care of everything for me. The Florida plates showed up in the mail, and then I headed to the DMV later to grab my specialty plates. I double checked with the clerks and made sure all the title and tax stuff was good to go.
I need to give this a better test. It works okay when I’m in the driveway just starting the car, but it runs smoothly with mine in that clear situation. For our next longer drive, I’ll turn off my phone and use my wife’s instead.
I have a dashcam, but the problem keeps happening even when it’s turned off. I don’t think it’s a Wi-Fi issue since everything else works fine (like Apple Music, Tidal, Audiobooks, and navigation audio). There’s a little lag, but it’s all good - it's the same on other cars.
The weird part is...
CarPlay connects to my phone no problem. I see the maps right away and it seems to work fine. There are some glitches when I stop at a gas station and come back - I have to restart it because it just won’t recover. I can deal with that, though.
What really drives me nuts is trying to call...
I did the same, and on top of it, I was mostly in Sport mode, as it is more responsive to the changes and varied RPM more often based on your throttle input.
It's not Sport Mode like in performance cars - it won't even come close to the red line.
Not exactly sure how light work actually works, does it stay on all the time, or just when you activate it? In the latter case, it might only be helpful for damage control.
I think we can all agree that the user experience is pretty terrible if you need a manual just to figure out what's on the screen. I expected a lot more from Toyota's infotainment system. It feels really basic and poorly thought out, especially since even 30-year-old economy cars had this stuff...
Hope this is at least a little bit flexible/resilient, so it won't break when I get off a high curb or something. That and wide coverage is all I need... And I need one, I don't even do offroading, but somehow dirt ends up up to the rear windows...
